Using the AK-R21 for background while illuminating the subject with another light that gives me lots of ideas. The use of the metal GOBO blew my mind as well
Thanks Godox and Aries for another great demonstration. Wish Godox actually made the GOBOs you have used in the video, as they can be used in more occasions than the slides that are currently available.
I was so much looking for a video to give me ideas on how to use AK-R21 creatively and here you are!! thank you for this Aries Tao and Godox of course!!
Wow! This unit is incredibly versatile in most portrait and fashion scenarios. I can certainly imagine using this in combination with my Godox AD200 Pro and AD100. Mostly for portrait work, but also in studio and family photography. Here, I felt like the use of a gobo - with or without gels - is just the method I’d prefer to use! Beautiful images once again with stunning model Vlada. 😊 #AK-R21
Thanks for your videos, particularly the DIY gobos. I've been wondering why Godox doesn't come up with gobos for AK-R21, either metal or slides. It would be good for both Godox or AK-R21 users.
I will definitely try to create unique shapes for creative lighting mixed with plenty of different colours. The possibilities are endless! AK-R21 is really cool product. Great video and model too!
I have been shooting with Godox products for a year now. I appreciate the excellent quality, design, easy-to-carry, and reliability. It is only our creativity that can set limits on how your products are used. Yes, I also recommend Godox to beginners and professionals.
Very interesting product, I have tried dear snoots but none that have really impressed me, this could make a difference. I hope to be able to try it soon, I would be very happy to own an accessory of this type, in the studio it can make a difference. Thanks for the video Aries Tao, always very precise and professional and thanks also to Godox because every day he shows us how much effort he puts into improving the available offer more and more. I'm just wondering if this is universal, specifically I work with Godox AD1200 pros and I'd like to know if I can mount one of these.
Thank you! Congratulations on your giveaway win. Please send an email to community@godox.com with your name, address, zip code, and phone number. We will promptly organize the delivery for you.🥰
Being able to customize the mood with colors (Tips N°1) sounds very interesting to me for creativity purpose :D I also like to see how easy is it to create your own shape of light !
I would (mainly but not only) use the AK-R21 as suggested by Aries Tao in his Tips 2 & 3, so to create slashes of light and interesting patterns on the background and/or on the model. It looks like a very interesting product to try!
The accessory is cool (I have one myself), but it still needs a few things to be perfect. Any chance of having more open projection lenses? 50mm is too little to cover a person's height, you need to place the projector more than 3 meters to cover a considerable area.
It‘s a pity that Godox doesn‘t provide gobos for the AK-R21. I wonder if DIY gobos would work by printing the shapes e.g with a laser printer on some transparancy film…
A really disappointing product. Very inefficient (AD100Pro and AD200Pro with the fresnel head seem the best things to use with it). Very hard to focus due to low power modelling lights (using MULTI helps a bit but not a lot) and finally you can't use standard metal gobos without cutting them and therefor making them useless for other projectors. I just control the ambient and use S60s with SA-P projectors which are superb.
If you are going to do a product display and explain it in English.. why not hire someone who speaks English as their first language??? Or just speaks it better. It's hard to make out what he's saying at times.

When are you planning to launch a dedicated set of gobos for the AK-R21?

Great video as always! BTW, whats the tethering set up your using? Thanks
The SA 09 Gobo Set doesn't fit with the AK-R21, would be fine if Godox will have fitting gobos for the AK R21 in future
Hi Aries! Thank you for this amazing demonstration! What about the preview of the projection? Do you see how it looks on the model's face for example?
use multimode to emulate modelling light helps
@@AriesTao Thanks for your answer

Can each GOBO plate be cut to fit the AKR-21? What set do you recommend? Specific tiles?
Just wondering if there going to be an adapter for AD300, too?
I already purchased Godox SA-17 & SA-P for this purpose. So what are the differences?
This just competible with AD flash godox?
Yes, and it also can be used on Godox camera flash.
Where can I buy this gobos?
In your local distributors or their online shops.
@@GODOXGlobal but how they make it to the size for the ak21 I found only round onces
He just cut it by himself👍🏻

Just use continuous lights why waste all the money and effort on this.
Because flash is more powerful and has more uses and n photography.
There are too many similar slides

Sounds ok to me !
