Ridiculous - Jordan has so many signature performances that a 46 pt game with the series tied at 2-2 never even gets mentioned when you talk about his best games
Now that I remember Jordan's play I realise how great his jumper was. There's nobody today who can pull up a jumper that high, that quick, that effective while fading away.
Great edit. Look at the Faaade at 3:23. This a true fadeaway covering over 4 feet - unlike the turnarounds covering 1 foot that really should be called baby-fades. MJ is the only player ever to have had the peak athleticism with peak skill to cover that distance and hit the shot with maximum efficiency. He is also the only ever to fade left, right, up, down, backwards AND forewards with equivalent efficiency. He mastered the moving shot on top of everything else.
The common NBA fan these days did not know that Jordan shot 43 percent from 3, 53 percent fg overall and 89 from the free throw line during this finals series. I wish he would have shot the three more during his career because if he did he would have passed Kareem in scoring.
Chicago clearly dominated this game from start to finish. Outstanding defensive effort by the world champion Chicago Bulls and once they build an insurmountable lead they’ll lock the game up completely.
MJ was the greatest. But Scottie Pippen and Clyde the Glide in the open court were wonders to behold. Those guys were probably in the top five all time when it came to covering ground and finishing on the fast break. Right up there with Dr. J, James Worthy and Lebron. The long strides and the gliding ability made them unstoppable once they were off and running.
WOW!! Does this bring back good memories!! Remember how I used to tape and then watch highlights on VHS video tapes and then look and try to mimic the most minute details of Jordan from body language, to how he chewed his gum, to his tube socks and how he tied his shoe laces........funny because I believe that Kobe did the same thing..

@@conni70 Drexler had a nice stat line but not a great game. Hassan Abdallah actually it was a year & a half ( 2 years if u consider the fact that Houston won back to back titles in 1994 & 1995). He only took that time off because his father had just got killed just b4 his announcement.
Aside from Jordan's raw skill set and fundamentals, knack and flair for the game the other thing that people never really gave him much credit for was his endurance, perseverance and tenacity that he demonstrated that was unparalleled!! I mean the man hardly ever was injured, it seemed like he had a mutant gene. The only other person that comes really close to his tenacity, conditioning, and perseverance is LeBron James.
I hate how the announcers always tried to act like Jordan was losing his abilities. They always wanted other teams to dethrone Jordan, especially against the Utah Jazz in 97 and 98.

The defensive philosophy of the Blazers was non existent in this series. Jordan knew he was not going to get hit, bruised, chipped, smacked, bumped, or even get a mean mug from the Blazers! Jordan was allowed to get a mental rythym and the series was over. Heck, and Drexler did not match his Jordans intensity. By shoving the ball back down the Bulls throat. I like Clyde, but he failed to will his team.
I always wondered - Just HOW STUPID it is to have, whether it's cameramen, or spectators, VIPs... Ok. Since nobody posted a response to my question. I will give you the answer ( LA, Portland, Phoenix, Seattle, & they defeated Utah & Utah ( I listed Utah twice because Chicago beat them 2 years straight for the last 2 titles)
NOW WHY is THAT MAN Magic Johnson talking about "If there be a seven game" at the end of this game with a minute left and the Bulls got a nice 10 point cushion lead and about to go up in the series 3-2 with the final two game back in Chicago.......that man was a definite hater of the success of Jordan and the dynasty of the Bulls as they we're BOUND to eclipse the Laker dynasty.
