Dear Joe, beautiful kit..one to consider in the future...Being a noob, I'm still focusing on specific MG's and maybe some RG's...for now...Thanks for a great presentation again...keep it coming, take it easy and God Bless!
The Cal Re A shares even more design cues with a certain MS from Late UC, even more than the Sinanju, which itself may share cues with that MS. I can't remember the name, but I think it was in the Vigna Ghina line. Edit: It was the Vigna Ronah.
I didn't know of the Vigna Ronah until this comment but you're right that's very spot on! I mentioned the sinanju based off the gold trim throughout the design. I'm hoping we get more color separated trim like this, I'm glad bandai got on board with color separation for the trim.
If I could heart this comment a second time I would. I couldn’t agree more. This really does a nice job balancing the typical SEED over the top design with function and utility. Definitely my favorite Seed Freedom Design as well.
Eyy found your channel through my recommended feed, great review! I pre-ordered this kit not too long ago and I'm glad that most reviewers say its good! I've never watched Gundam Seed (or its continuations) and I've only built a handful of kits, All high grade and one Bandai Digimon kit, but I just adore this design. I plan to pose him next to my LiveLance heaven kit, another angelic gunpla that I love.
Thank you for the kind words! SEED isn't the worst series but a lot of USA based fans don't like it, SEED does really well in the east. This will look really good next to the livelance, both are very elegant with their designs!
Awesome review. You covered pretty much any questions i could have, and questions i didnt think to ask. Kits cool but I can't stomach paying $45+ for an hg. I'll try and grab it on sale someday.
Waiting for a paycheck to hit first 😅There seems to be some confusion if it comes with 1 or 2 Zakus in each set. I’ve been meaning to. It’ll be interesting as it says paint and glue is required for the “unidentified” versions.
@JoesGunplaGarage LOL, I know how that goes. If I read the descriptions correctly, it should be a total of 4 Zaku's, with one of the kits having extra pieces to build the lead characters rebuilt Zaku. Either way, keep up the great work and look forward to seeing more videos
I can understand the wings for sure. Even with some advanced techniques you could very well make the stowed wings open and close but you’ll need to scratch build some parts for it. The legs really needed that something extra to help get past that skirt armor. That’s the only real gripe I have with the articulation.

Thank you for the support! I hope your builds go well! :)

@@JoesGunplaGarage Definitely would like more stuff with Metallic trims, also it'd definitely help with Colour separation in general.
The golden boy that falls in shame after it's pilot lost it when he couldn't be loved by a pop idol.
Probably the most ridiculous movie I’ve ever seen lol. But at least his MS design is really good.
But he’s a dick
honestly one of my favorite designs from GSF, and i’m usually not a big fan of flashy designs like this

I found out that the Cal-Re.A is supposed to be the doppelgänger of the Strike Freedom.
It absolutely is, has nearly the same capabilities
Great video!!! Really enjoy how detailed you get. Did you pre-order the RFV HG Zakus off P-bandai?

I guess the lack of wing articulation and drop-down hip joint are to increase structural integrity for those huge wings

Thanks for the review Joe, does the Proud Defender backpack fit on this?
it should. I've seen other builders mention it. I can double check tonight.
Kinda wish they gave it Gundam legs but Ig the chonky legs prevent it from being too top heavy
I like the legs a lot but I can see your point too. The mighty strike freedom legs would fit on this no problem.
murasame kai review when
Soon! I’m hoping for this week.
