Nice explanation as usual. Looking at the 3D physics, looks that they solved the platform problem with the Z axis, I mean that our character can finally falls down from a platform on Z, not X and Y only. Slope is a welcomed feature.
@@queuethegamedev I totally agree, it'll be the cherry on the cake, but I admit that the Z workaround was pretty annoying compared with the absence of a 3D editor. My personal opinion of course.
Yeah, creating your own movement without using the extension could actually be beneficial because you could add forces to the player. Theoretically, making the movement without the extension is better.
I've been trying to print out the transcript of this all week, damn the fact neither my or Dad's printers currently work. And at 10 p a sheet it's gonna cost me at least 3 quid to print it all out down at the Library.
Hey, i was working on a sonic fangame called Sonic Revolution and was wondering if you could possibly do a tutorial on how to make a sonic fangame? It's okay if you don't know how to it's just i'm struggling atm and could really use some help. Also i need a co-developer to share my GDevelop account with since Collaborators is a Pro feature and i don't have the money for Pro. Best Regards - CD/RevStudios
Objectively, Godot is better. But, GDevelop is much simpler to learn and still has amazing 2D with a developing 3D (nothing close to Godot though). You could also learn both if you want (I'm learning Godot this year myself!)

7:53 it isn't necessarily wrong, but it's option, especially if you want to set up multiple controls if that makes sense

Bro, I need your help. I'm having a problem deciding which game engine to use. GDevelop or Godot??
Do you have any knowledge with designing games? If not i would suggest Gdevelop if making 2d games.
