In today's video we will be doing a detailed review on HexGaming's Ultra X controller series. HexGaming is a competitor to Scuf brand and Xbox Elite series controllers in the premium controller market. Today I we will be taking a deep dive into these controllers to see if a $180 controller is really worth the money.

Excellent controller,I can't stop ordering new models on hex gaming's website, those controllers are so well maded and customizable!
I love mine. Havnt used a stock controller in a long time.
I wonder what they used for back buttons
Hey dude, do you have any problems accidentally hitting one of the back buttons? I'm torn on getting this controller because of how close those back buttons are together.
I don’t know if it was a glitch or if they were having a sale, but the controller I designed and ordered a week ago did not have any extra charges for the customizations other than a $10 US for getting the adjustable triggers. All in all a great value and it looks like even without ordering express shipping, I will have it by tomorrow or Friday, about 10 to 11 days after I ordered it.
I think they changed pricing actually! Much better deal this way.
@@LetsOpenOldStuff awesome. I picked the right time to buy 1.
I just ordered one with digital triggers I’m hoping it makes it in time for Christmas i ordered it the 8th what is the difference with the digital triggers I paid an extra $10 for?
@@jayclay3266 they’re like mouseclikcks.
I can see tall thumb stick being used for racing games the left one tall the right short cuz some games allow you to make the right sick up and down shift
The tall one is for fps shooter games
I play on a Hex Advance controller currently. I really like it, but their digital triggers seem to wear down pretty fast.
Ordered mine back in July last year. They only give 3 month warranty unless you share you controller on social media (which i did not do) but my controller bugged out and the right stick was constantly stuck with right input, even when the stick was straight, and if i pressed the right trigger it would fly to the left.
I talked to their customer support and they replaced it. The replacement came in and the right trigger on that controller completely went out after 2 weeks of use.
Contacted them again and the replaced it. So now i am on my 3rd controller from them and the triggers are very mushy and the clicks are getting much softer and feels like they are breaking down.
The triggers are the only lackluster thing about them. Wish they had an option for just a very short trigger stop instead of the buttons.
Always nice to hear other reviews! Thanks for the comment!
@@LetsOpenOldStuff how are your triggers holding up on the Ultra X since you uploaded this review? Have you noticed them get mushy at all? I'm wondering if they use different mechanisms on the Ultra x because yours sounded like a much softer mouse click
@@rextobyballew1825 I've actually been using mine daily and haven't noticed a change in mine, but I'm not the most sensitive gamer when it comes to these things I might just not have noticed. I'll keep an eye out for a change and maybe upload an update video eventually.
the trigger is digital like the scuf?
I beleive so yes.
Do Kontrol freeks work on those thumbsticks?
For sure they would but 've never tried them. Would you recommend them?
@@LetsOpenOldStuff 100% ever since buying a pair of galaxies then the cqc rushes for fps games I cant play without them
Are the back buttons pretty awkward ?
I find them useful but I could see how it would be tough for someone to hold all the back buttons at once.
@@LetsOpenOldStuff I have smaller hands , would you say they are better for smaller or bigger? Been really thinking of getting one
Good vid👍
I really appriciate that!
Cool!
Thanks for watching! Always appriciate it.
