I am just back from Nuuk and experienced it as a wonderful small city, charming, nice people and I have no doubt that Greenland and Nuuk will have a bright future BUT there is a lot of hope in these real estate prices and enjoying a coffee and cake we there we were already quite surprised about the price level. We also want to buy wool but seeing that a 50gr pack of wool costs about 90 Euros we have refrained from buying it. This said I don't think income from tourism will grow on that level.
Prices on real estate in Nuuk, just like the rest of the world right now is definitely inflated. Prices must come dow a bit. Muskox wool is very limited, hence the high price, but its extremely warm and good for cold winter days

One can purchase a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom 101 square meter townhouse for around one point 1 million rand in Gauteng, South Africa. This obviously depends where you decide to live, this is in our area Midrand. We are close to malls, schools, hospitals and we have a police station in our suburb. Can't wait for your next vlog.
Correct, there are mansions worth millions but as you know, you purchase what you can afford. We have security complexes, golf estates, plots and the new craze is smart cities. Everything comes with a price tag. We pay alot for water and electricity, petrol/diesel, rates and taxes due to corruption etc.
It seems like the housing market all over the world has increased. Real estate is the safe way to invest and keep up with inflation. Can you do like a street walk? Show us a mall or downtown nuuk. Im in Toronto Canada by the way.
In downtown Helsinki, the going rate for apartment is 10-15k euros per sq m. So if this is the most expensive you can have, you are lucky then. It could be a great opportunity to buy one or more and then have.a distance work to Helsinki and enjoy cheap housing in Nuuk while earning premium money from elsewhere.

I think the suburbans in Helsinki or in any other city here are cheaper - new construction costs pretty much the same in every place in Northern Europe, and the inflation of building materials have gone through the roof which sets more pressure to the prices of new homes. You forgot also about the Greenlandic economy which have some potential once the ice melts away and shows all the treasures it is hiding. Potentially, you guys will become the next Norway.
Hey Alex, good video! Does Nuuk have a variety of distinct neighborhoods, each with their own character? Like a shopping area, well-to-do section, etc? Or is everything pretty much the same throughout? I leave for Iceland in 22 days. Looking forward to the trip but do wish I was making a side trip to Greenland. ☺️
Nuuk is really very expensive but also here in my valley they are truly hight, as they can vary from 1700 to 3000 € per squadre meter. Certainly real estate prices depend on many factors. Thank you for this information

In the future i saw, russia norway + greenland collaborate together. I dont feel "governements" as they were in the past: its way more about people. Hopefully it will turn out to be true. Usa prooaganda + european allies working against russia will be seen by many and when people will wake up to the truth, some will be thrown out in jail and replaced by more rightous people. All i can say for now on that topic. Nobody can stop'us now, and We will help Russia especially if it introduces this new currency system we push for here and there. If it succeeds, they are gonna heal and get even more support than ever before. I always knew something would come from russia and will help all humanity. I think we are about to witness that soon. Well Sisimiut is where there is quite a few education institutions, but the town is slow compared to Nuuk
