That is a variation of the losing horns from "The Price is Right". Those horns were used on another shortlived game show, "Double Dare" (1976-77). In the end game with the Spoilers, if the three Ph Ds got the answers right from the clues given by the contestant they won $100 apiece and the contestant lost, those horns would sound.
I enjoyed watching this video. However, I felt badly for mostly Walt and Bob while I liked lines such as "Why did you do that to me?", "That's my favorite charity BUST", and how Tom Kennedy made his own losing horns.
At 2:51, 3:47, 4:46, 6:47, 7:13, 10:30, & 10:56, good thing that rule was changed later on where if a contestant got a double or push in the money cards, nothing was won or lost.
Can hear that NBC buzzer years later in Trebek's "Classic Concentration" with higher pitched losing horns in the car bonus round. A wrong guess on the puzzle also you only hear it solo.

Zachery Alderton Jim Perry and Bob Eubanks. If the 80's version was again on NBC instead of CBS. Alex Trebek may possibly have hosted it only if Classic Concentration wasn't developed. Another interesting factoid..."Double Dare" 1976-77 with Trebek had those TPIR losing horns with the spoilers. Same "Card Sharks" music too!
cutemimi25 I was the opposite, I hated the push rule. You bet the card was lower and a push isn’t lower. It might be mean, but part of the fun of game shows is watching people crash and burn.
I'm just the only one to admit it. Why was Press Your Luck so popular? Not because of people winning trips and money, but seeing people hit the Whammy. Drama makes for great TV. If the game wasn't aiming for drama, why would the last bet have a minimum of half your money?
Tom Kennedy would later listen to those Losing Horns on his version of The Price is Right on syndication during the 85/86 Season and he did a great job
That started on October 20, 1980, and it followed into the 1986-89 CBS Daytime and 1986-87 short-lived syndicated versions.

3:49, GIVE HIM $8,200!!!!!!
5:29 Start passing around the collection plates guys.
3:38 This guy must be a relative of Ric Flair with the noise he's making.. LOL.
7:12 Jim Perry: Be there! Lower! (Bzzzzz) Nooooo... Tom Kennedy: Dun-dun-dun-da... (Loser horns play)
5:06 -- Vicki Lawrence is so adorable
Jim: "Oh, no! That's like, the third time that-- What kind of poker cut was that, Donna?!"
11:50 Heartbreaking loss!
"Card Sharks" with Jim Perry was videotaped at NBC Studios in Burbank, CA., not Hollywood, CA.
_OH!_ that hurt so good! 😬
The Jim Perry Rule was a heartbreaker.
You mean the doubles rule? They changed it shortly after another contestant ended up with 4 3s in a row.
That's the reason I like the Eubanks/Rafferty version better; No win-No Loss on a Pair in the money cards
I enjoyed watching this video. However, I felt badly for mostly Walt and Bob while I liked lines such as "Why did you do that to me?", "That's my favorite charity BUST", and how Tom Kennedy made his own losing horns.
Planning to do one with the eubanks/rafferty version
Good job Terrence!!! They should have kept the full TPIR Honrs!!
Don't remember but somewhere along the way double was a push on the money cards
Bill Cullen: "That's my favorite charity, BUST!" Plus Tom Kennedy does his own losing horns!
What's interesting is that Uncle Bill and Mr. Kennedy both hosted The Price is Right
RIP Jim Perry
the four threes nightmare which triggered the push rule. would have been a good get.
This is the painful "BUST" montage from the NBC run of Card Sharks in the U.S. with Jim Perry.
I 1st remember those Losing Horns on Card Sharks when they 1st aired in reruns on Pat Robertson's CBN (now freeform)
1:29, GIVE HIM $16,000!!!!!!!
4:04 - Jim must have been pissed inside. He threw that Ace in disgrace.
In the world of Card Sharks, this is known as THEE baddest of bad beats!
Note Card Sharks did/not include Losing Horns on This Game
At 2:51, 3:47, 4:46, 6:47, 7:13, 10:30, & 10:56, good thing that rule was changed later on where if a contestant got a double or push in the money cards, nothing was won or lost.

Heartbreaker @ 11:50! Hugs 4 Risha!
11:49, GIVE HER $13,200!!!!!
@ 3:43 Most Painful Bust Evah!! O_O
11:49 Well...., Somebody call 911 and summon the Burbank Fire Department EMTs for her after that BUST.
CALL THE "MILLION DOLLAR MAN", TED DIBIASE!!!!
Dr. Trombones Gacha!
Why Did They Bust If It's A Push
The push rule wasn't put in place until late 1980. 😔
Got damn Vicki shit !
07:48 - Nice Andre Dice Clay impersonation. OHHHHH!!!
0:37 its an ace
Do the best the whole works
Would've been cool if for once Jim didn't say DOGGONNIT but GODDAMN SON OF A BITCH!!!
I think Jim was thinking that.
he didn't like to see contestants bust out like that at the money cards.
THEY COPY THE PRICE IS RIGHT 0:08
CARD SHARKS 0:37
CARD SHARKS 1:31
AGAIN 2:12
1 MORE TIME 2:53
3:23 OH-NO
YOU CAN TO BE SORRY 3:51
4:50 BAD
TO BAD 5:29
WHAT KINDA POKER CUT WAS THAT, DONNA? Doggonit!!
I feel a little worried I I had a tummyache
09:52 - Bob gotta burn that hat. Double Fail!
Where is Part 2?
Mandi darn it!
This clip is 13 (unlucky 13) minutes, 18 (6+6+6, or 666, number of the beast) seconds long!!
Same horn from the price is right.
1:31
First BUST ever.
that was from the price is right
Yikes! Bill Cullen busted on the Money Cards!
They no use losing horn on card sharks
Aces are good in poker but not on the money cards
3:48 & 10:57 You don't get anything for a pair, not in this game.
Is it just me or the Ace was a much more evil card than the 2? Also, if this was BlackJack, then they would've won a lot!
Kei Nanjo The Ace because it happened much more often.
Vicki eventually won the tournament for her charity, didn't she
I thought Alex trebek won
Darn it I busted
Which card sharks host do you all like the most

2:52 You don't get anything for a pair.....Not in this game.
You don’t get anything for a pair. NOT IN THIS GAME!
You lost $800
And that's the only thing I hate about Perry's version of Card Sharks (nothing wrong with him it's just the rules I don't like).
cutemimi25 I was the opposite, I hated the push rule. You bet the card was lower and a push isn’t lower. It might be mean, but part of the fun of game shows is watching people crash and burn.
@@kevingembel5767 You REALLY LIKE to see people crash and burn? REALLY? I am at a loss for words.

Tom Kennedy!!! You did better on Password Plus than this!
Tom Kennedy would later listen to those Losing Horns on his version of The Price is Right on syndication during the 85/86 Season and he did a great job
