      Problem is, the PBA has now made it extremely tough to be on the tour. This event was a travesty of how it was run. It's a USBC run tournament. Get more players involved!!!! Only 5 out of 90 PTQ bowlers got into the main show. But then they only used 36 lanes for the qualifying with 3 on a pair?!!!! What! This tournament should've had at least another 30-50 bowlers. You are gonna see a lot of guys not bother being on tour anymore if you can't get on the exemption list.

      @@steve4880 Great Point, I Was wondering why they on took 5 from PTQ and only 3 on a lane for 36 lanes, They trying to make the PBA an elite only organization. It is a good thing that Brad and Kyle and other have You Tube channels.

      @@steve4880I agree. There use to be like 300 to 400 bowlers bowl this event. Only like 60 out of that was going to make it. I understand what they trying to do but a former regional guy myself it wasn't even in the cards to bowl a ptq at one of these events if I wanted to seriously compete and have a chance at a check. Go to an open field. You got your card you can bowl. You are an amateur then you have to average a certain average to be able to enter. Use to love going to regionals or scratch tournaments knowing half the field is just going there to say they bowled at that level. Nothing wrong with it. Its basically free money into the prize fund. Respect to everyone who tries to bowl this event. Always wanted to bowl the open.

    • @kuleulmoore3705
      @kuleulmoore3705 7 днів тому +1

      When setting up, have your off hand support more of the front of the ball (close to your finger holes) instead of the side of the ball. This allows more freedom to put more weight on your finger similar to what two-handers do.
      S.N. I’m a two hander, sorry if this doesn’t help, but I’ve seen 1 handed bowlers do similar setup to do what you’re referring to)

    One thing I've noticed Brad does a lot is bounce upward on his toes as he releases. That's got to be throwing off his geometry and messing up his release. It's like he is trying to overthrow it for more power or something and it just messes everything up. I notice that every time he struggles that's what he is doing.

    • @WestPac-ny9vi
      @WestPac-ny9vi 6 днів тому

      Good observation, I Do think Brad tries to overthrow it especially when he has to play deep inside, he just doesn't have the Revs and power to play deep. he is a much better bowler on outside shots.

    KISS
    Keep
    It
    Simple
    Stupid
    From the outside it seems pro bowlers can get inside their own heads worrying about what every other bowler is throwing and not focusing on making better shots with the ball in their hands.
    I know it’s way more nuanced than that, but when things aren’t going well it’s a help to keep it simple.

    Love the videos during this whole tournament you guys! Gotta say though, idk if Belmo is the GOAT. He's very very very good, but he still can't hold Walter Ray's jock strap any day of the week lol major titles don't make you the GOAT. Nobody is touching Walter Ray's overall professional wins. Nobody is even in the same category. The amount of TV shows and 2nd places for Walter Ray are also astronomically higher than anyone else. Belmo is a beast though, just don't forget to put some respect on the REAL goats name 😁😁
