I was thinking the exact same thing. How in the world the United States Postal Service did not honor these phenomenal women years, decades ago? That must change. I left one message on their social board and will do it again and again. So, I agree with you wholeheartedly.

I love her answer about delaying Christmas. 6888 brought peace and closure to families and soldiers and if you know anyone in the military, even today, a letter or care package is everything. I imagine someone may have heard from a mom or dad or lover just before passing. We will never know the lives they affected but have to just imagine what delivering 17,000,000 pieces of mail means. Bravo to the legacy of these unsung heroes.
