Great video and explanation thanks, another area of confluence would be to see whether the FVG is sat in a discount (long) or premium zone (short), particularly for the two lower probability FVG's.

I think you can do a whole video on what exactly a consolidation candle is, the 3rd option. That was the only part of this video that wasn't clear to me.
Ya man, I watched and took notes on Mulham's recent video on the same subject and initially thought that he and Arjo were at odds on this one. But, after much scrutiny, I found they're actually in sync. Mulham also said in his video on this subject (the third FVG candle) that this was the highest-prob FVG. My take on the subject thus far regarding the 3rd 3rd-candle options:
• body relatively small compared to the 2nd candle
• wick is also relatively small
• body can be with or against the price direction
• wick will just touch, or "sting" (credit:Arjo) the edge of the FVG
• you'll get a succession of relatively-small candles ("consolidation"?) and then price will rally onward
So, you don't want a giant-bodied, strong retracement candle (option#1) that pushes back on price direction to the FVG. And, if you get option #2 - the Breakaway Gap - this expands/happens so fast it's hard to do anything with it. Although this price action is strongly in line with the bias/price direction, price has moved, and is moving, This is still obviously a high-prob situation that you don't have the opportunity to capitalize on like you would have if you'd been given more of a heads up. So, in Option #2 you drop down in timeframe and look for new FVGs to use for entries.
Option #3 - our "Consolidation"/Balanced/highest-probability 3rd candle scenario: We have a relatively-small body to the 2nd candle, and we have a relatively small wick that barely touches, or "stings" the trailing edge of the FVG. Like a spider testing its web, price taps/(Arjo's "stings") that trailing edge, figures it's nothing it wants anything from and then shoots off to rally/dump. I'm guessing it's the few relatively-small candles in succession that gives this model its name.
Either way, if you get a small-bodied third candle with a little wick that stings the FVG, followed by a couple of other relatively-smaller candles - jump on that mutha fucka. High prob shit.
Anyway, that's my take on it.
