Ben, not sure who taught you how to close the hood but your approach is not the official jaguar approach. And the owner’s manual in fact, says to place your hands on each side of the hood while standing in front of the car and then pushing it down. That’s directly from the owners manual.The approach you described is likely to lead to misalignment of the hood.
The F-Type is a beautiful design that will always be a head turner. You did the color a disservice when you said "banana." That's ridiculous. It's a YELLOW JACKET. The yellow and black color scheme looks fine, and fits the F-Type as it stings other cars in style and speed as it passes them in traffic. And like a yellow jacket, you won't know what stung you or where it came from because it happens so fast, but you also won't ever forget it. A banana is like most cars on the highway -- boring. The F-Type yellow jacket leaves a mark that you'll never forget. As for the interior, I own a 2020 F-Type (original front light design), and the interior is never old or stale. It's refined, sophisticated, and every control is where you want it -- especially the grab bar! Give me a yellow jacket anytime and leave the bananas for the conventional BMW, Lexus, Mustang, Porsche herd. They're a costly dime a dozen. No one ever asks what they are because they aren't unique. Seen one, seen them all. EVERY time I'm in my Jaaaag, people ask what it is because it's so beautiful and unique. Drive a real classic or drive a conventional box. Your choice, but do NOT call the F-Type a banana.
My 2019 is virtually identical with the exception of the headlights, and exhaust in dynamic seems significantly quieter, as for the hood 6” from closing I just drop it, never an issue it always clicks in nicely. The digital dash is upgraded but frankly the interior needs some tweaks surprised jag has ignored interior updates.
I would love to get one of these! One thing that I wanna know is this.. isn’t this a coyote Motor that’s just been supercharged? I know Ford use to own them but when you popped the hood it looked like very similar dimensions to the coyote.
@ 1:47 : that whole thing about latching the hood??? No. It’s not a problem. Does not require all that effort. Because it is a large hood, it can lose alignment with repeated opening and closing but that has been documented on many other f type reviews since it’s inception. Just open by lifting from as close to center as your arms allow and close from the front bumper with 2 hands applying equal pressure with a little force and let gravity do the rest. It latches all the time (gravity assisted) lifting and dropping from 8” does not provide enough force for latches apparently. I own a 2016 type R and it is awesome in every way
The prior version sounded better, looked better, and with a CarPlay adapter….just as good (and some of us prefer real gauges than LCD monitors…..). The blue, green, and grey colors are quite good. Not sure I’d want that yellow after a week or three…..it just attracts too much attention.

This guy must be color blind that color is not yellow it definitely looks satin or mustard it's nice I like these premium colors because they are not common.
I own a 2023 bluefire blue 450R for maybe 8 mos now . Took it to red lodge past summer & ran it out against my friends M4 . The M4 is a bit more agile but not much . Out of all the cars in my collection this one stands out as 9.5 on the scale of awesomeness . The only car technically superior was my porsche C4S which was damn near perfect in every way . Car is loved by humans of the female persuasion by the way
@@abriellacosta7473 If I did, I'd sell the expensive piece of garbage. Several people I know had them. One still does and routinely makes unplanned shop visits. Fortunately, he's quite wealthy, but even he is starting to get fed up with the unplanned shop trips. He has other rides so it isn't as bad for him.
@@fsheheclack WTF are you rambling about? My car is in my picture and it's made in Flat Rock, Michigan. Everything I said is true. Jaguars are expensive garbage. They are beautiful and perform great when they aren't in the shop. You want to spend that kind of money, get a Porsche, BMW, or Mercedes-Benz. They're expensive to repair when they break, but they avoid the shop better.
