Here in the UK, there is a lot of " brand snobbery ".
I hunt with an AYA model 2, a beautiful Spanish shotgun.
I shoot clays with a Hatsan Escort Magnum, a Turkish shotgun.
I shoot vermin with a Hatsan MPA, a Turkish shotgun.
Not one of the above, ever let me down or jammed.
" Brand snobbery ", be damned.
I saved £1000's on the guns, and spent it on ammo, and fun.
I got an EAA imported from Turkey = chrome lined barrel. The action was rough for the first 500 rounds but once broken in it’s smooth. Best $180 I ever spent.
I've got an RIA VR 60. Picked it up at the flea market during the lockdown last year. Bought the 19 round extended mag. After about four boxes (five magazines) and a damn good cleaning, it performed flawlessly. I love it. On a side note, both my sons are in the army and were arguing over who was going to get it when I died. I told them"the one who digs the fastest"😂
Did you go for the 4 nine-round mag rebate?
Hahaha last part got me hahah

■ INSTALLED A NEAT CHOKE SCREW IN MUZZLE BRAKE "CARLSON'S" WITH REAL WORLD RECOIL REDUCTION.
■ INSTALLED A "FALCON STRIKE" HYDRAULIC RECOIL PAD. I SHOOT #4, #7-8, SLUGS AND 000 BUCK SHOT ALL DAY WITHOUT THE NEED FOR MY CHIROPRACTOR. AMAZING.

I am an American and I love American made firearms, but I must admit Turkey is making some great firearms irregardless of price. I have high dollar guns and so called budget guns and the truth is, I feel robbed, because these Turkish guns are just as good and some are better than my high dollar American guns I.e. Canik, Derya, G Force Arms, etc. The last point I want to make is, the Turkish manufacturers seem to accept customer feedback and continually improve their fire arms, as opposed to relying on brand loyalty, this gives them a huge functional competitive edge. To sum it up cost to value is not a 1 to 1 anymore in the firearms industry !
I have a couple Huglu double barrel shotguns I imported while deployed to Turkey 2001-2003. They are very nice premium shotguns.
Huğlu, I am a gunsmith in Turkey, I am grateful to you, I wish you to use it in good and beautiful days.

👍🏼Yes very much so. After thorough research, decided to pull the trigger. Purchased in Feb 2020 the Turkish made Rock Island Armory VR80 semi-auto shotgun. Absolutely luv the reliability and ease of ergonomic operation, being designed after the familiar AR15 platform.
🇺🇲Stay well. Go in peace.
My local gun store has had quite a few brought back from customers. Maybe 30%. Main problem is poor heat treatment of metal parts causing parts breakage. The Turks took advantage of Remingtons absence from market combined with spike in demand for cheap home defense firearm. Like you said buyer beware. Their are some good ones. Replacement parts aren’t exactly available either.
If you get one from say Rock Island though, they'll be able to fix them for you most likely, if anything catastrophic happens.
I work at an LGS with more than one store and the number one problem we've seen from Turkish bullpup shotguns is broken triggers. We have seen other problems but that's the main issue. While they can be fixed under warranty it has happened enough I wish we didn't sell them at all.
HEAT TREATMENT, PARTS BREAKAGE? MORE LIKE MAINTENANCE ISSUES. HMM OR THE LACK OF. ITS FOLKS LIKE YOU AND YOUR GUN SHOP THAT GIVE THIS WEAPON A BAD NAME. THAT 30% RETURN HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WEAPON. DID ANYONE REALLY STUDY? HOW ABOUT IDIOT USERS. FIRE AND FORGET MAINTENANCE.
Turkey is a new leader in weapons technology.
New leader in junk
@@smokeintheair , The Junk are destroyed military technics by Turkish Bayraktar!
I recently bought a RIA Lion X4 semi-auto that was well reviewed and seems pretty darn terrific so far. Made by Derya. Of course, I’ve only got 25 rounds through it so I’m only 25% through the recommended “break-in period”. We’ll see. But with my surgically rebuilt shoulder and resulting inability to shoot my pump shotgun and I didn’t want to spend a fortune on this semi-auto experiment. So far, so good!
I have a Turkish 12 gauge bullpup. Love the damn thing. After leaving the bolt locked back for a month there wasn't a break in. It fired everything I had. High brass and low brass it didn't matter.
My Turkish makarov mk12 is awesome, never had a problem.
I bought a CZ 712. I didn't know it was Turkish until after I bought it. So far it has performed well.
If you had known it was Turkish before you purchased it, what difference would it have made?
@@timothyprice9064 I would not have purchased it. I have no issues with the quality of the shotgun, but I do not care to contribute to the economy of a nation that has shown itself to be our enemy.
@@hugostiglitz9864 Being retired military I understand what you are saying.
@@hugostiglitz9864 Do you add Russia, Japan, China, Italy, And Germany to your no support list? Germany and Japan have killed more Americans than any other countries on earth.

Great video. I've been asking this question for years. The best I understand, they're like Kel-Tec, Taurus...hit or miss with quality control.
I have the RIA VR60 semi auto magazine fed 12 gauge.I absolutely love it! You need to shoot a couple of hundred rounds of high brass high velocity shells to break it in.After that it will eat anything you feed it flawlessly. It is the AR style so it looks bad ass.I got the 9 round magazine so with one in the chamber 10 rounds of buck shot is devastating for home defense.I would absolutely trust it to protect my family.
I've got a 60. Picked it up at the flea market last year during the pandemic. I absolutely love that MF. You're right though, took a few dozen shells to break her in. Then a damn good cleaning. Also got the 19 round extended mag. Total effing street sweeper. Both my boys are in the army and they're both arguing over who's going to get it when I die. I just smiled and said"the one who gets it is the one who can dig the fastest".😂"cuz I'm being buried with it".
I went with the Beretta 1301 and it's fantastic.
That's the real deal,what a beast!!
Me too, the best semi auto for the price by far
I have a Benelli M1 and a Mossberg 590, I can’t say anything bad about them but compared to my sporting rifles, they aren’t as fun to train with. The Mossberg is my favorite of the two, no reliability issues and works very well with low recoil 00 buck shot and slugs, The. Turkish stuff looks like a good value if you buy the right one.
I’ve got a few Turkish made shotguns and never had an issue. Pump, semi-auto, over/under, even a binelli clone tec12, that’s semi/pump convertible. All good. I just about jumped on that black aces deal you posted just because of the price, but I really don’t need it.
Magazine fed shotguns are my fav
I bought two Akkar Churchill 12 gauge pumps , slapped a laser and light combo w/pressure switches for house defence....no complaints
I see the Akkar Churchill for sale, are they ever a low price! Did you practice and try yours out yet, does it cycle rounds good.?
I have a couple of Charles Daily Turkish import semi autos. (1) 12 ga and (1) 20 ga that have been amazing. Both have thousands of rounds with no issues at all. I believe it is a hit or miss.
Ever heard of the SDS Tac-12? It’s a Turkish clone of the Benelli m1014. It’s made by a company called Sulun Arms in Turkey. It survived a 10,000 round torture test of mixed buckshot, birdshot and slugs. I bought another one of there models, the SG-103 which is their take on a VEPR-12 but it has a milled receiver instead of stamped and walnut furniture. The importer Garaysar calls it the Fear 103. I have put probably over 500 close to 600 shells through it and other than the break in period where it jammed the 7 times out of the first ten rounds I have had no issues since. Granted I do clean the gas system after every outing. Most of the people online who have also bought one haven’t had problems unless they failed to clean it before using it the first time or started with low brass birdshot not adjusting the gas system.
I believe I got lucky but still don’t dismiss Turkish shotguns.
Love my made in turkey winchester SXP
I got a black aces pump. First shot was light primer strike. With all different brands and loads and a trip to a gunsmith it would light primer strike about every 5 rounds. That gun got returned. I'm not relying on those odds.
I love my Rock Island Vrpa. pump-action shotgun the best
I'd take a chance if I just wanted an extra shotgun or needed one for a truck gun, if it rusts up, breaks, gets stolen, it was pretty cheap. I would cry my heart out if my beloved 870 ever got stolen or destroyed. I've had it for over 12 years now and it has thousands of rounds fired, wore all the finish off the pump guide rails and all over the bolt and receiver! I'd probably still cry or be extremely butt hurt if one my cheap AR's was stolen or destroyed, so imo, I can see a need in a cheap shotgun, testing it first to make sure of proper function obviously, lol.
Imagine if you could see the entire firearm.
I have the securian 12 gauge Bullpup semi-auto and I love it. As long as you use full brass shells you should never have a problem
I’ve got a Mossberg500 pistol grip truck gun , and a Saiga 12 gauge semi auto with pistol grip and a bull pup sentury 12guage ,, after about thirty or forty rounds ,,, apiece,, I dog them pretty bad and each have performed flawlessly also I clean and check each one out for any possible defects ..... about 3000 plus rounds each so far and ZERO ISSUES so far
My Typhoon F12 runs like a dream. Built on AR-15 platform, it surprises a lot of people when I take it to the range.
Could you fire slugs through it? I know about buckshots but what about slugs?
@@tullo5564 You know what Tullo, I could for a while and then it started giving me failure to feed issues. It got so bad that I got rid of it.
@@carrollmartin1535 that's the case with almost every Turkish shotgun...
Blast! I wish I had known that. I really liked that F12. I purchased the American Tactical Bulldog and it has the same innards, but it hasn’t given me any trouble.
Love my Black Aces Pro Series S Max. Have yet to have a malfunction and I've run everything thru it.
I have an Derya Carina U.S.8 STL based on the Ithaca Model 37 Trench Gun.
Even if I could find an Ithaca, I wouldn't be able to afford it.
I really like the Derya, they are one of the better quality manufacturers.
I have that gforce bulpup. Shoots 1600fps slugs like a dream. I use the ext Panzer mags. No complaints.
What choke are you using?
I have the GFY 1 too, it works great and it's a beast..
i have a Hatsan Arms escort in 20 gauge that i like alot. it shucks and fires just fine.
I've got the Escort DF12, love it.
Sdx12 here with a panzer 10rd to use along with the 2x5rd and 2rd mags that came with it. Runs the cheap shit like it’s good shit!!!!!!
I have a Dickinson Commando shotgun. It's made in turkey. It has been very good so far. But I have also only put 1,000s through it. 750 of those were bird shot shooting clays withy buddy. The rest has been slugs for deer and also some buckshot. All 2 3/4 loads.
You would think any company today should be able to make a pump action shotgun that runs good and lasts.
I've had a Tri-Star auto for a few years with a lot of rounds fired through it. Gotta say I can't complain. I've beat the crap out of it and it still goes bang
I just picked up a Tristar pump for the wife. Hope it was worth it.
@@mattdg1981
I see TriStar also makes an Over/Under shotgun. I hope your pump works good.
Have a couple Turkish shotguns, I bought a charles daly ar-12s semi-auto, my family members bought a bunch of theses , I shot 80 rounds in one day 3 inch high brass shells different brands and then started shooting low brass a box of 25 and not first problem the day I shot all those rounds , I couldn't believe it is that great of shotgun for the price. Good Video
The GForce GFY-1 is almost a surgical firearm. My buddy has it and definitely on my wish list!
Guys, if you are looking for a Turkish shotgun, great quality and great customer service, I think you must try SIPAHI
Couple reason
They are actually manufacturer, ( there is only few manufacturer in Turkey all others using them for their private label brand) Even those brands in this video They are actually not manufacturer
Second : Sipahi has actually customer service/technical service/ warranty, directly from the USA.
Third : Excellent quality,. As i said, they are actually the one of the major manufacturer of these shotgun in Turkey and now they are in the US.
I purchased a semi auto and over/under from my local dealer here in VA, 3 months ago, i needed a help. I called directly Sipahi. my issue fixed in 4 minutes. Incredibly great.
I must say they are one of the best/realiable. If you are looking for a Turkish shotgun, The only thing here in the USA is SIPAHI
All others just a cheap private label products.
My first gun was a GFY1 Bullpup and other than cycling issues using target load its fantastic.
Sometimes they come with multiple rings for the gas system. I know my MKA 1923 has one for hot loads and one for light loads. Did yours also come with them?
What did you do to fix the cycling issue?? I’m having the same trouble?
I have a Linberta 12 gauge pump that been solid for years. Turkish shotguns are relabeled all the time.
I scored a Hatsan Escort MPA semi auto for $200 on clearance . Fees, Dros, néw stock , plus 3 tube brings it up to Mossberg 590 prices . But I can’t find one so I grabbed this. A friend has one and has had great results and plans to use it for 3 Gun.
Turkish made shotguns are some of the best out there. Some shotgun manufacturers you think are all U.S.A. and you love their firearms yet they are produced in Turkey!! Has anyone heard of Sar?,as in Sar 9? I think many of you have. Where are these handguns produced? Hmmm?
“Turkey”

Turkish guns are pretty good. Despite what I think about their politics, their guns are pretty good. Canik is a good example of awesome Turkish guns for a cheap price.
No worst than Russian politics yet Americans are buying Russian ammo by the boatload.
@@johnnygab4376 Russian ammo that is garbage btw. Whenever i went out to range with either Wolf or Tul I 100% always had at least 4 rounds out of the box malfunction. Americans will gleefully buy garbage though, that is historical fact.

~Okay, I see.👍
I remember when the MKA1919s started coming into the country. Now, they have created an entire family of mag-fed, AR -style shotguns. I remember working retail and watching the various importers scramble for the latest and greatest. The sold well because many could afford them and may worked well enough to enjoy. Sure there were lemons. The OG 1919s need some power or they wouldn't cycle. Now, there are many companies making very reliable shotguns. The primary reason is that Turkey doesn't have the best laws. Smoothbore is very very common in Turkey.
Radikal NK1 and MKX3 are both fun to shoot but I like the MKX3 better because the drums fit perfectly and Im left eye dominant.
So, all my shotguns are Mossberg 590 type. The Navy taught me there is nothing more reliable. 35 years later with 5 of them, tens of thousands of rounds, that's on point.
You say these won't burn out without excessive use: what's excessive?
We may have totally different ideas on that.
I’ve had amazing luck with Fed arms! Super affordable
Once again very informative.👍
Recently bought a Turkish shotgun where I live there's no more American shotguns they're all not there anymore so had no choice hope it works out.

Well done Turks👍

China guns are trash
what about panzer arms? i did alotbof research and its split some people have alot of failures and some peoples run perfectly fine i have one and it has olny failed to feed really low power clay pigeon loads
I have the Dickinson regular pump shotgun. Very light, shoots great, seems to be well made, fired buckshot and slugs, no problems at all, recoil was very bad though since it is very light shotgun. Made in Turkey. Also have the Mossberg 88, the action is not as smooth, maybe not broken in yet. Holds 7+1 shells.
Panzer arms AR12 are nice, not cheap
I heard the Turks bought the old Italian Bernardelli Works and a lot of their doubles pumps and semi autos are based on Bernardelli designs.
i went Stoeger but very wary of shotguns that come from turkey, btw i own a lot of Turkish handguns and they are normally better than what they're actually trying to clone.
Thanks for the information! Great video.
Quality control is different than Design Control. Quality control equates to workmanship of the product build process. Design Quality is due to the engineering design and a direct lack of testing over the life of the product. Most of these inexpensive manufacturing companies can’t afford the budget of a testing program like that of larger companies. Heck, you complain about the cost of shotgun shells, and I can’t blame you. Take Kel-Tec, the reason they have lifetime warranty on their product is because they let the consumer be their testing program. Does Black Ace or GForce offer extended warranty on their products?
Would be nice to see the entire gun instead of 1/3 of the guns.

Any opinions on tristar arms? I have a cobra 3 and it runs pretty good but it's new I got it in February so I just wanna hear what other people think because I haven't had it long term. It's mainly for home defense but I would love to find a 28 or 26 inch barrel for it for hunting one day.
I've been eyeing the SDS Imports M12AB shotgun ever since they first started importing it roughly a month-ish ago. Seen and read pretty much nothing but positive reviews of it, and it's just a little over $300 for a bullpup semi-auto shotgun. Just gotta wait until I can afford it lol, seems like a perfect apartment defense shotgun. Throw a 20-round drum mag full of Fiocchi #4 high-velocity shells and a full-choke, plus a red dot and a light, seems like a great rig to me.
I bought one 2 weeks ago. Am sending it out tomorrow for warranty work :(
My wallet says yes they are good
Good info. Would have been cool too see them too.
Shot a Maverick 88 and not impressed. I don't recommend it. The pump action seems really cheap and clunky. Shoots fine tho.
But they work . If you are thinking you are going to find something special in a pump action shotgun good luck
Go and talk to Dan at Max Arms in Fl. He has a mag fed AR style shotgun that is in my opinion (31 years of professional gunsmithing) the best on the market for a number of reasons! I set up mine for 3 gun competition and have since helped two friends set up theirs. They run like a champ after a short break-in period.
By the way the name of the shotgun is the HDM 1050 Protector.
