Wow, this is the best thing I've heard in a while. The arrangement is perfectly jimi-fied and so well thought out, the tone is great, the playing in the pocket, bravo 👏
I think Hendrix being the best guitarist of his time is a bit of an overstatement. On the other hand, he really deserves praise for this double stop accompaniment style. Little wing is amazing and really influential.
For you to say Hendrix was the greatest guitarist of his time is an overstatement means you really did not dive into all his music to understand all the innovative things he did, even today many are still analyzing his guitar playing and amazed at what things he did, Jimi Hendrix was most definitely the G.O.A.T! Period!
One benefit of adding a bit of overdrive to guitar is overloaded chords sound extra muddy. It makes you focus on the notes that really bring the sound of the chord and intersperse various color around it. Basically it forces you to think like Joe Pass
Good experiment, Jens. I often feel a need to bring a bit of the rock tonal sensibility into my own jazz. Curious if the distortion here is an actual Fender amp or just a modeler?
Do Hendrix chords work for Jazz? 😎
I love this sound for jazz
Yes.
Really nice! We all wonder where Jimi would have taken his music if he had lived a long life! RIP Master Jimi Hendrix!
Thank you!
Cool guitar tone, as well as the chord choices
Thank you!
So much innovation is essentially about combining disparate ideas. It doesn’t always work, but this certainly does. Two of my favourite styles.
Wow this is amazing
Thank you!
Very cool 😎 Jens.
🙏
I think he would like it!
I’m no musicologist but I believe I read that Jimi was gravitating towards jazz fusion. What might have been😢
He was good mates with Miles Davis toward the end of his (Hendrix's) life, so it was on the cards.

Did you post a pdf? It says "check Patron" but I dont see it there....
Yes it is there 🙂
Nice. But it probably would have been better to play it on the hollowbody to cement the point.
Thanks! I am not sure I agree with that 🙂
