I am from uttarakhand, we also have same culture. I thought we are the only people following this kind of devta culture but i am really glad to see people in South also have same culture. I hope people of Mangalore has watched The Kerala story movie be alert people we are the next I hope everyone has noticed sudden increase in something, kasaragod is very much close to us, protect our culture and stop selling out lands
have you ever been to kannur, calicut. etc the malabar region which also holds up the culture and keep it close to the heart? like bhootha kola of mangalore, northern kerala has theyyam and thira which has a lot of deep cultural values and are deep rooted in the people's mind. Dont be misguided by propagondas. also, dont blabber something without even knowing about our culture. southern states have more cultural values and roots imbibed in their hearts when compared to northern states

Just out of curiousity why does he gets angry and starts running? Also is there any possibility of being harmed when he runs like that I have seen several videos in some he runs with a wood with fire and sometimes he himself jumps in fire ..Can you please explain..it is b beautiful culture and I would love to experience it once but I want to know every before I witness it by myself.

This is folk form where its believed Demi-God enters person body and its always very intense , We never know when Daiva enter the body , sometimes if its really powerful then person performing the art cannot control such intense power. There are many stories here after running they get disappeared , so people around there stop them from running outside the Demi-God temple premises.
