In this Sky Princess mini series, I want to give you the tips for the best restaurants to eat at when you travel with Princess Cruises. Today, I want to show you one of the speciality dining options onboard Sky Princess. The Catch by Rudi is a new speciality seafood restaurant, a joint partnership with culinary icon Chef Rudi Sodamin, head of culinary arts for Princess. You will find The Catch speciality dining restaurant on Discovery Princess, Enchanted Princess, Sky Princess and Majestic Princess. Better yet, it will also be coming to Sun Princess in 2024. The Catch by Rudi is the first Princess restaurant primarily devoted to seafood and offers a completely fresh take on seafood with the chef’s contemporary interpretations of classic dishes, international fusion influences, highly-creative presentations and an engaging dining experience.
This experience is priced at just $39 per person and available as a speciality dining option within the Princess Premier add-on package.

So...... there was a surcharge to eat in the restaurant, another surcharge for the seafood tower then a FURTHER surcharge for the lobster???? $100 just for you in surcharges?
well isn't the point that none of them are mandatory... You do not need to eat in a specialty restaurant to have good food. You do not need to order the lobster or seafood tower to enjoy the specialty restaurant... Where is the issue??
@@hungrytoexplore The issue is that until fairly recently the majority of cruises were all inclusive. I get the need for one surcharge for an exclusive restaurant for a bit of luxury, but THREE surcharges for ONE meal? That is excessive. I understand your conundrum as a YT vlogger you need to be positive about experiences for content but surely you can admit that THREE surcharges for one meal is excessive.
@@stayinafloat2859 I don't need to be positive, I give my opinion. I would be annoyed if I had to pay those surcharges or I miss out on good experiences. But my point is you don't NEED to. Pay the surcharge for the seafood restaurant and order the non surcharge items and you will have a fantastic meal. Don't pay a surcharge for the specialty restaurant and go to the main dining room and you will have a great meal. The point is choice and you can customise it as you please. Come on, it is lobster and a huge seafood platter... what else do you expect? But the menu is extensive. I chose to have 3 surcharges. I could have just had one.

Who said they were? Speciality dining is the name of the level of dining package on the cruise...

I was interested to see the 30 dollar seafood tower is in addition to your main course. I was under the impression that you would not be able to get a main course by choosing the seafood tower. This makes the 30 dollar surcharge a bit easier to justify.

Yeah it was one of my favourite meals onboard actually. I’d say it’s an absolute must if you’re on a ship with it on. You won’t regret it, including the extras
