I can see how happy your are getting back into the air. Great to hear your are halfway with your support. Will continue to prayer for you and your family………Roger
Ryan, It's good to see you are back in the air, you would have missed the flying. Now you are back in a happier place.( In the cockpit).Stay safe &enjoy it.
Yes, enjoyed the videos back in PPNG. And yes, three yrs is a long time to let anything mechanical sit. Other option would be to have trusted friends give it a few flights.
Great video as usual Ryan 😊 I so much enjoy watching them your always so professional and you narrate so well. I feel like I'm in the plane with you 😊. God bless you and your family 🙏
Hi Ryan your missionary follower here in South America . I got to go this month in a 206 out to where my son works in the middle of all jungle, to leave we went by boat to another longer strip
If you didn't weld in some bracing on the rear tailwheel mount, you will soon. If you get tired of changing blown shocks on the T3, TK1 tailwheel shock is pretty sweet.
Yes the wind has been brutal here in AZ. 35 mph gusts up to 50. Not good flying weather. Glad you are able to get back out serving. Praying for more supporters.
Hey Ryan...interesting experience for you...when/if you have a chance to "lop" off that creosote bush, take a few of the leaves and rub them between your hands and smell the results. It's an amazing smell.
Howdy Ryan, I will be flying in in my T210L. I plan on being there Tuesday and all day/night Wednesday so I will try and find you! The plane is in annual now and hoping to have it in plenty of time to get to SnF
Many years back I installed two small rubber engine mounts into my tail wheel system of my Cassutt 111M, it gave it the full flexibility needed with no slack...worked brilliantly
Interesting video from you again! Nice to hear from you that you are going back to PNG soon! Have a good time home until you and your family will go again! ❤
It is always a pleasure flying with you Brother albeit vicariously. It looks like a lot of fun flying into these off airport remote locations and the geography and history of some of the locations looks fun and interesting too. I spent several weeks exploring Death Valley by car (camping) and by four wheeling a few weeks over a few years on my vacation time. That is a rich historical area and the mountains, canyons and mines were excellent to explore. The four wheeling adventures allowed me to get into some very remote areas not accessed by many people over the last 150 years. It would be a pleasure to fly with you on a few trips, explore and hang out. All my best wishes for you.
I agree, for 3 years, just sell the thing and come back strong with something else later. There's nothing more sad than planes doing nothing. They're made to fly and if I'm not starting mine every at least 2 weeks, I feel I'm not a good owner ahah
Sensacional. Curto muito os seus vídeos. você passa segurança para os passageiros isto sim é profissionalismo . Welcome Belo Horizonte MG Brasil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Good to see the Kitfox again, it just looks so much fun😁Quite a difference with the new tailwheel, its a shame you are going to sell this awesome bird though but its understandable given your situation! Fantastic video once again Ryan👍
Ryan - Thanks for another great video. IT is good to see the KitFox back in the air, even if it is not with ‘your’ tail wheel mount. What I am noticing is that there is no background whine in the audio stream with the handheld radio, which is very different from when you had the dash mounted unit in place. Wonder if there are any ‘experts’ out there that can comment on if they think that the dash radio was causing the issues with your audio? Another thought comes to mind. Noise from small motors and generators could always be minimized or eliminated by placing a small capacitor across the power leads of the motor. I cannot help but wonder if you have done any research into that and if the KitFox has anything under the ‘hood’ that might potentially be creating electronic noise?
Sensible move buying a tasilwheel - clearly it works well for you. Selling the Kit Fox - also sensible, do so, get hte best price, save the money. Remember, "God is no man's debtor" (Matt. 19) and I am sure He will honour you giving up your pride and joy to serve Him and later will guide you to find a really nice plane thet next time can accomodate you and your entire family as He blesses you. Meanwhile I'm sure you'll get your needed sponsors in time for He said "the ox must not be muzzled treading the grain" in ! Cor 9 and 1 Tim 5 not that you are an ox but "the labourer is worth of his hire" and God will not expect you to work while your family suffers. God Bless you Ryan.
Поприветствуем дорогого товарища Нерадько за то, что я могу видеть такой уровень развития авиации только в Ютубе, но не у себя в стране. For author in english: just some sarcastic words about head of Russian aviation Mr.Neradko, who laid down his life to stop the progress of general aviation in Russia.
While I'm excited for you and your family that you get to go back to PNG and fulfill your mission ambitions, I am definitely going to miss 24KB. She's a sweet little bird. I might have to hike up to Kingman to say hello before you head back across the pond (or maybe the wind might blow me up there from Peoria... WTH is this weather?!). Are you going to be back in the Kodiaks when you head back in June? Can't imagine you'd have enough time left to type-rate in anything else.
I'll have to keep an eye for this when you put it up for sale. I will need to do quite a bit of convincing the wife I need a second plane for the short term while I'm trying to sell my decathlon.
How much did you pay for your kitfox? I have been looking for one to fly with My son and they are hard to find. He is 7 so I dont have the time to build one. Any bush style tailwheel is what I am looking for under $100k.
I have a little FOLDING PRUNEING SAW that has like an 8inch blade unfolds into a pretty slick but SMALLER SAW that you wouldn't be loosing much weight at all and *I* AM SURE there is a lighter weight version in the more pricy ranges lol anyhow, mine has 4 blades , 1 metal haksaw, one ''all purpose'', one pruneing saw (finer tipes than the course saw), 1 COURSE SAW (has the big teeth that chunky out wood bits for firestareter.... and watnot.. lol) anyhow it all fits in a neet little sheith thingie that has a belt loop thingie on it to hook to your belt (or strap to a bar up in the tail...)
I agree bolt cutter loppers are better cuz you don't have to get down into the plantitchiesstickers and watnot lol but hahaha how much fuel you tradeing with the loppers? LOL
This is as about as opposite as one can get from the life I live. Very cool! I have a hard time getting my head around how people can live in that desert environment.
And you are not alone there. I use to think that way. I lived in NV for 3 yrs. Working as a Captain on a 300 passenger dinner ferry. Once I started exploring the area by water, land and air, I was at the natural beauty of the area. I lived in the Caribbean on my sailboat. That was beautiful. The more I explored the desert areas the more beauty that I saw. Valley of Fire State park is a favorite. Phenomenal pure white sand beaches with crystal clear water. Indian petroglyphs, amazing rock formations. Sky’s MUCH clearer and more star studded even than the Caribbean! There was part of my tour that I would say to my passengers “ do you see those snow capped mountains? Yes, beautiful. They are over TWO HUNDRED MILES AWAY”! Where on earth can you see that!! Not many. And the steep and deep slot canyons. Incredible color. You just need to open your eyes. And your mind. OH, and have you ever heard of the most visited NP in the us, the Grand Canyon?…………yeah, its a desert.
@@roadboat9216 my comment was not a slam, just a simple observation. Relax. Been to the GC (south rim) driven thru the Mojave. Sedona is the most beautiful place I've ever seen.
I've also loved watching your flying experiences. I did notice however, that with the addition of your wig-wag lights, they are not all that aerodynamic, and each wing, vibrates noticeably. Just check your videos since the installation and see what I mean my friend. Perhaps it's nothing to be concerned with, but FYI, ok?? Stay safe always.
The new light bar on your wing looks like it will cause a LOT of drag. It looks very bulky. Could that be staining you Auto pilot??? Regards from South Africa
Ryan, thanks for another great video. I've enjoyed your transition from PNG to the "jungles" of the West. I'm glad to hear you are following God's leading back for another term of service in PNG. I trust your transition back will go well.
Hi Ryan: With all the mods and improvements you've been doing on the plane, I noticed that you haven't yet put a restrictor in line with your fuel gauge and it is still fluctuating wildly. If this is a mechanical fuel pressure gauge, remember that there is a Bourdon tube in that gauge that is connected directly to your fuel system. With this fragile tube flexing rapidly and repeatedly like that, it is likely to suffer a fatigue fracture. If that happens, you WILL have fuel leaking into (and out of) that gauge in the cockpit. This is the second time I've mentioned this. Please fix it soon as I don't want to see you on the Blancolirio channel.
Like the Kitfox videos. Depending on the type of camera you have, maybe I could trade cameras with you. I bought a back up camera system for my trailer, and it has two back up and two forward facing cameras. I wanted to have three backup cameras on the trailer. If the cameras will work with both of our systems, I could maybe trade a forward facing camera for your backup one. I'm active on Team Kitfox forum, you could contact me through that I suppose. Jim
Jocky-ing the power on approach... is this a bush pilot thing? I thought you were supposed to set the power for descent on downwind abeam of the threshold and pretty much leave it where it is until crossing the threshold on final.
Sometimes I have difficulty knowing whether you are state side or back in New Guinea. It would help knowing the dates you actually recorded your videos, so I know where you are currently. This was a nice video of just some flying time. Need to watch out for those old mine shafts, some go down hundreds of feet. What was the name of this old mine or it's location? It makes sense to sell the plane if you are going to be gone that long, then you can just put those funds aside until you get back and invest in another one.
