Back in the 90s my friend nearly blew my foot off because of the unique way that firearm works. I paid for him to go through a firearm safety course after that incident.

Back when these came out, my ex and I were both cops. She and a few others in my area carried these. They were actually quite good pistols for the time, very affordable, and could use S&W mags.
My family got one of these from my grandfather after he passed, and we shot it 100s of times since 2015 when we got it. None of us knew this was a thing

Looks like a Beretta. Daewoo was pretty cool, I believe they made an automatic shotgun and a "futuristic 90s" gun which was an AR 18 ripoff internal but performed very well.
Most definitely, that looks exactly like my 5906, except the decocker/safety is on the frame and not the slide. Also, the grips are screwed on and has a different hammer style.
You should see my 9mm that only has a trigger safety. The "safety" is keeping it in the holster, and keeping your finger off the trigger until you intend to fire.
You have someone a copy of a 1911 with some other stuff inside of its different like there's no good safety on it or anything like that the 1911 has the same trigger setup
As a duty weapon, having a pistol with a long, deliberate trigger pull without the normal heavy weight accompanying a double action trigger is a fantastic option for safe, accurate first round firing.
