Please ……do Echoes from this Gilmour show….it’s phenomenal and Ricks last performance before he passed….literally impossible to believe that humans can do such things. Amazing
I think it’s unfortunately too long a video. I think Andrei & Dominika have a 15 minute limit on video requests. Which is completely understandable. It is an amazing performance though. Perhaps Andrei & Dominika might have time to listen to it on their own time at some point.
@@Tbevie50 They have other clips which go for 20-25 min, so maybe it's possible. Would love to see their reaction. It's a step up from the 70s Pompeii version.
the version of Echoes, from this concert, is my favourite PF song. you'd love it. i love what you say about the band, too. they enjoy themselves, so much. they look at each other and smile. it's a joy just to watch them
Someone else may have already said this, but this is one of the, if not the first, song David ever wrote. On the studio version, he played almost every instrument himself (guitar, bass, drums, vocals). I think it was just Richard on keys. Such a beautiful song for a young man just learning his craft.
I wait to see you reacting to the version of "Echoes", of that show, is just MAGIC....Even more, because, it was the last time David Gilmour, and Richard Wright, played it, and, sung it together, before Richard died😢They knew, Richard had a cancer (the fans, journalists, didn't knew), now we know....But, at that moment, it was like if they knew they will play it for the last time😢Listen to the discussion between the guitar, and the keyboards.....I cry all the time.....😢One of the best version, with Pompeii.....✌️Peace from France
70's and 80's had so much great music, across all genres. You're such a great couple. You're like salt and pepper. He's the salt to and she's the pepper. Love from PA, in the corrupt US of A.
Hi, I have been watching your reactions for well over a year now, but this the first time as a rather private person, that I have ever made a comment on you tube. My name is Ant (Anthony) I am 63 now, live in Derbyshire, England and been thrilled by pink floyd and latterly David Gilmour since my late teens. Your reactions are so genuine and is clear how much enjoy their unrivalled music, I literally "echo" the last person's comment pleading with you to react to "Echoes" from live in gdansk , it is very long but I know you will really enjoy it. I see the last comment was 6 months ago, so I hope you are still doing reactions, but if not I wish you both all the best and I thoroughly enjoy all your reactions so much that I had to just finally break cover!!
Yay, my favorite song. Now do "In Any Tongue" live in Pompeii (very emotional). 60k people showed up in Gdansk just to see David, that's not counting the people who couldn't get in.
Great choice. From the same concert is also an amazing version of the song Echoes. You might have noticed that Rick Wright is also here on keyboards and sadly this was the last time Rick Wright ever played live ... and Gilmour has also said that he will never perform Echoes again. Also the live-set was released a week after Rick Wright had passed away. Pretty sure they didn't plan it that way but it was a very poignant thing nonetheless.
I concur. Most reactors do the original "Echos," and it's great. However, I prefer the version you picked because it's magnificent with the light show and solo's. They had all these years to hone that song to perfection. David's solo is simply incredible and very moving. The whole piece from start to finish = masterpiece.
Great reaction, guys! One of my favorite PF songs. David's solo is exquisite... of course, the high notes make you soar, but he is sooo good on the fat, low strings. Keep up the good work :)
I really like your comments on the music of David Gilmour, I love that there are people who are sensitive enough to recognize in this God of the guitar the same thing that I have been recognizing since I was young when I discovered "The dark side of the moon" and They were forever my favorite band. You have already heard many of their songs, but the work of Pink Floyd is immense and you still have magnificent songs, for example "In Any Tongue (Live At Pompeii)" where David dazzles again with the guitar solo and where the three members of the choir whose work is worth highlighting. "Echoes", "Mother", or songs that you have already heard but that sound very different in other concerts, like "Comfortably Numb" in Pompeii, or the celestial "High Hopes" that in Gdańsk with a great orchestra sounds in a different way. very different from "Pulse" and where Gilmour also gives us a final extension of Spanish guitar that is a pure delight, although different from the one he plays in Remember That Night (Live at the Royal Albert Hall 2006), and the same thing happens with this song from "Fat Old Sun" Good David often likes to give us versions of his own songs and they all sound magnificent, that's why it's so interesting to listen to his concerts, he always surprises you with some variation in his guitar solos. I apologize if you don't understand me well, but I don't speak English, and everything is translated from Google.
This song is from an album that was released before Dark Side Of The Moon, in the early 1970's. It is still fresh and relevant today. Pink Floyd music is timeless.
I love Poland and it's splendour and so much of history. I'd be wishing Poland win when they play football in the world Cup competition. God bless Poland.
When this song is played on the radio and I'm driving, I automatically pull over and savor the moment. Atom Heart Mother is my favorite Floyd album and Fat Old Sun is one of many great songs on the B side.
I very much enjoy your reactions, and am rediscovering Pink Floyd myself. As an old man I have a very different perspective on it than I did as a teenager. Watching your videos is like finding Pink Floyd to another level, maybe teenage life was too busy but a lot of it went over my head at the time. Best wishes from the UK.
You need to check the old floyd, you can find a lot of gems. I recommend you Mudmen, Burning Bridges, Cirrus Minor, Green is the colour, Astronomy Domine, Remember a day, A saucerful of secrets (live at pompeii), A pillow of winds... and a long etcetera I love PF, they are so unique
Your right, you don't always need lyrics, especially if you have the talent of David Gilmour, you should listen to Mike Oldfield for an example of not needing lyrics.
Bardzo dobry, always a pleasure watching and enjoying your reactions to David Gilmour. His canon of works over the decades has the complexities and nuances of a wildflower meadow, put more simply - life enhancing. Andrei you need to purchase the DVD/Blu-Ray of this magical Gdansk concert for Dominika.
Gilmour is magical, I totally agree! He is a master of feel, and plays so emotionally that you don’t even realize how drawn in to the moment that you almost miss just how perfect he plays. 50 years of listening to The Floyd and Gilmour still touches me very very deeply! So happy to see how you both have been so deeply affected through your Pink Floyd journey!! P.s. I often get choked up listening to Pink Floyd so you are in very very good company!
Another beautiful reaction. Don’t worry about not always being able to find the words, your expressions and emotions say everything. I believe this was one of the first songs David wrote himself. Apparently the other members of Pink Floyd locked him in the studio and told him he couldn’t come out until he’d written something. And this was the result. He wrote and composed the entire thing, playing all the guitar parts, the bass and even the drums himself. Only getting help from Richard Wright for the keyboard parts.
They didn't lock him in lol. David had already composed and written the song, but Nick and Roger weren't available on the recording date. David plays bass on more than half the albums, so that was no big deal, plus he's also good on drums too.
