- Note: Some viewers are being a wee bit too technical. Its a damn sandwich. We called it a Reuben. It’s our version. This ain’t New York. Get over it. It was an f’ing phenomenal reuben sandwich.
Let's make a reuben sandwich in a pie iron. We prefer the Rome pie irons. They are made of cast iron and are made better than other brands. They should last a lifetime with proper care.

Thanks. First time I’ve made it. I think Angie had done it before. Also first time using a pie iron in a while. Was a little messy, but good.
Very, very nice video! I use the Rome Pie Iron 1605, for two Pies and the 1305 Panini Press. They works realy great! Also using my Bushbox XL fom bushcraft-Essential, made in Germany, best foldable Hobo ever! Try it!

The Rachel is my favorite. Pastrami, Swiss cheese, cole slaw, thousand island on marbled rye.
