I remember one cop got a call that his daughter was being arrested for a DUI. He showed up at the scene, other cops told him to stay out of it. He did. Until the cuffs came out. Then HE demanded HE put the cuffs on his own 20 year daughter, HE put HER in the back of HIS patrol car, and then drove HER to the nearest jail and let them process her. While sobbing "daddy why are you doing this to me??? daddy!!!!" His only answer was "I tried to tell warn you with first hand accounts about all the DUI traffic stops I've done, and all the dead bodies I've seen over the years from DUI's. I'm doing this to you because I love you."

@@BikingWIthPanda At a certain age, a perso can take decision for themselves and build new mindset. She looks old enough to be able to make decisions on her own, not taught by her father. Many kids of police officers think that simply because their parents are police enforcements, they can do everything and it will be forgiven to them.
As someone who's parents are both in the spehere, and I know a lot of other 'kids' to such parents, I can say that there are two types of kids with such parents: One -> the ones who now what laws are and are not braking them and know there are consequences.
Two -> the ones who are mad to be taught that they should be the righteous and think that the are the ons that can break the law, because they will be forgiven and not punished (until proven wrong) - and most of the cases ,these are cases where it's not parents who taught them to think like that!
If you have a head on your shoulders, you can think for yourself and take decisions based on yourself and your choices in life.. after the age of 7,.. for slower people we can say after the age of 20 - after that... welp, if you are unable to think for yourself, then there is no chance in the future for you to be able to think on your own and those are the only type of people whose decision depends entirely on the parents!

The kids from cops are usually worse than their cops parent(s)
Yes Guys most police officers are not good people. They are narcissist and egomaniacs as a result that lie for a living and are allowed to and it's encouraged. You cannot do a profession like that with those characteristics and shut it off when you're off duty. It is impossible. I've seen this profession corrupt So many of my family members friends and other peers that I met throughout my life. I've only known one that actually became a better person from being a cop. Now I want to make clear there are great cops out there. There are officers that truly pick this job to protect and serve and do not lie or engage in corrupt practices nor do they use their authority to exert over others for ego purposes and nor do they purposefully and knowingly violate individuals constitutional rights and they stand up against their fellow officers when it is done in their presence or if they become aware that it has been done. However you're talking about far less than 20%. 20% is the best possible scenario. Now you have a lot of police officers that don't engage in those things but they allow their colleagues to do so and do not stand up against them or take it to Superior officers even though of course in the overwhelming majority of cases the superior officer is not going to do anything about it because they're just as corrupt. These types of osticers are just as bad if not worse than the ones engaging in these practices. Why do I say this? Because the ones engaging in these practices have no moral foundation. They are just simply bad people at their core. It is their nature. The others know it's wrong but they choose to do nothing about it because they don't want to inconvenience their lives when the fact of the matter is they swore an oath to it and they chose to enter this profession. Evil triumphs when good men sit back and do absolutely nothing.

The bad thing about the first scenario is that the girl was cooperative and had not tried to use her Dad's position to her advantage. SHE was owning what SHE did! You don't see that too often in videos like this. Similar encounters are usually combative, aggressive, entitled and threatening.
I get the other officers wanting to discuss the issue with their Sgt but when it gets right down to it, the Sgt is the one responsible for the initial decision to release the young lady. Her subordinates were just doing as they were told.
That said, the person who bares the ultimate responsibility was Commander Dad!! When the Commander showed up to retrieve his daughter, he should've used that moment to teach all his subordinates that what they were doing was wrong!! I'm more irritated about that than anything else and wish that interaction had been caught on camera.
What was the reprimand he faced for, one, taking his daughter home when she was clearly intoxicated and had been lawfully placed under arrest and two, his lack in judgement, leadership and modeling of proper ethical behavior for his subordinates?
At his level of seniority, he has the ability to direct and mold the mindset and atmosphere of his department and the expectations of dispersing equal justice under the law. The fact that the officers felt nervous about the repercussions of arresting the young lady suggests that the Commander would've seen it as a slight against him. That's not ok.
It's sorta crazy that he's seemingly taught his daughter how she is expected to conduct herself and take responsibility for her decisions while failing to teach his subordinates, well basically, the EXACT same thing.
