Cuyuna Mountain Bike Trails! Day 2 - Riding the Mahnomen Unit

- Here's the first half of my ride on my 2nd day at Cuyuna.
I was camping at Red Rider Resort which is on the very east side by the Yawkey Unit so I drove over to the main parking lot on the west side to ride the Mahnomen Unit.
I hit basically every trail in that unit before heading back to camp for lunch.
Some really beautiful views over here and great trails. The Mahnomen Unit has the most mileage of trail. It also has a fantastic visitor area with a huge parking lot, a nice beach and picnic tables with grills.
The skills area with a pump track and jumpline is right off of this parking lot as well but I'll get to all that stuff in a later video, although I do have a run through the big jumpline at the end of this video.

Hauling ass on Sandhog was sweet! Did I hear right that screamer is a double black??? cause I didn't see any reason for it to be. You definitely got some high speed stuff going on in that unit, and I love seeing the tires packed up all red. Looks radical, killer video!
Haha thanks buddy! Yes screamer is a double black, Cuyuna’s trail ratings are ridiculous. I actually went on a rant how stupid it is but left it out lol. And yeah it’s just rollers and berms, should be blue. It’s basically all green and blue. Like Bobsled is a black diamond, that’s a green trail. Basically don’t pay attention to the trail ratings and just have fun on em haha. Thanks for watching dude

Although you make the Winze jump line look like fun--we're not jumpers. But we are camping by Cuyuna for three days. What do you recommend?

One might say Mahnomen is the best unit at Cuyuna. I have never taken that left onto the green trail.
Brian Vaughn it’s always been my favorite but I do like what they’ve done at the Yawkey Unit. Still always enjoy this one though. That green line is pretty fast and fun 🤙🏻
Do you run a chest mount or helmet mount camera
Chest mount. Helmet mount looks weird on me because I’m so tall haha
