Well done as usually buddy. I’ve been curious about this zone and haven’t really seen much about it so it was nice to see such a good overview of it. I think I’ll pass on all of this though haha

Thanks man! Yeah there are good sections here but overall was a little disappointed. There are better trails in the area.

Great video. When we do a Cuyuna weekend we often end our Sunday morning at Sagamore for some chill flow on Klondyke and Syracuse, on our way back down to the cities. Makes for a nice way to end a weekend when the brain is already tired. We tried doing that in reverse one time (Sagamore first then the other stuff) but ended up really not enjoying that.

Sounds like a great way to wind down a fun weekend, I really enjoyed those trails.

Great production as usual! I rode this zone awhile back and was confused by much of the trail build, It was not working for me. I have since avoided this zone as it’s a bit of a stretch to get out to if you’re already riding the main stuff. Anyways always good to watch one of your vids!

Appreciate it! Dynamite really threw me. Watching the footage back, it looks like there are certainly fun parts, but it just wasn’t flowing well for me while riding. Bison run definitely has fun parts, but after I wrapped up here I rode Galloping Goose around Mahnomen, then Switchback and Dragline around Portsmouth, and for my money I’d rather ride those trails any day! Thanks for watching dude! 🤙

Nice vid Rob. I found the green/white trails here great to ride with the fam. Especially the littles. Even thought, If I was riding by myself at a better pace it would still be super fun. Havent hit the Blue/Black yet but have heard the same feelings you had. Just no flow, at least for someone who is not a regular.

Thanks! Yeah the green and adaptable loops are great for everyone, just fun to cruise through! That being said, with all the other great trails in the area I don’t see myself going back here anytime soon.

Talk about great timing. My brother and his wife invited my wife and myself to join them next weekend. They have an AirBnb booked near the Sagamore Unit trailhead parking lot. Even though, I've made the trip from Iowa up to Cayuna several times, my riding so far has been limited to the Mahnomen, Portsmouth and Yawkey Units. I'm always looking to ride new trails.

There’s just so many good trails in Cuyuna, you can’t go wrong! I think your timing will be spot on for fall colors, enjoy your stay!

Excellent overview of Bison Run and Dynamite! Looks like you reached the same conclusion as Dialed in and I when we first rode here, really hard to link the tight berms and steep jumps together. Would take many laps of sessioning and tons of pedaling before it started to work and became fun for the vast majority of riders. Would rather spend the time and energy riding all other great trails at Cuyuna!
Killer riding today at Giants Ridge, can’t wait to see your footage and edit on it!

Thanks Andrew! Yep I’m with you 100%, other units are definitely better. There are certainly moments on Bison Run that I enjoyed, but Dynamite was goofy at best. Yeah man, I had an absolute blast today, thanks for the sensible overview of some of the bigger trail features, and the very reliable tow-ins! Can’t wait to see your vid too!

I like riding the adaptive trails after Bison. After all those goalpost trees and frustrations of not being able to get the speed you might want, it's really fun to just bomb a wide open trail.

Thanks Rob. Was going to check out the Bison run but might skip it now. Would the adaptive trails be okay for a 7 year old? Going to be there in August and looking for easy greens for the kiddo.

Yes those adaptive trails are perfect for kids. No huge hills, but likely will walk some of the “bigger” ones with a 7 year old. I want to get my kids out there to ride those soon too!
