Hi mate, it's a GoPro Jaws flex clamp and a gooseneck. The camera is a GoPro Hero 7. It is mounted on the aluminium bar behind the seats as the car isn't a clubsport. I have got a GoPro Hero 10 now and what I have found is if you put the auto-stabilization on it moves the camera that much that the video doesn't look great, however if you turn it off the camera shakes a bit at high speed. This video is off this week with the stabilization off ua-cam.com/video/MBaUFaeAda0/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared . Hope this helps 👍
I would say there isn't much in it. It seems to be more low down torque pulling out of the corners where the 718 pulls away. I won't be rushing out to get the 718 GT4. It was my first trackday at Anglesey and this was only the second session, I improved later on.
Comparing German Sport Auto’s tests on the 981 GT4 and the 718 GT4, the first mentioned was a tad faster on 0-200 km/h (equal 0-100 km/h times), but where the bigger different was, was the acceleration in bigger gears gears from 80-120 km/h. The 981 GT4 was clearly faster. So much for that low end torque of the newborn.
The 718 is heavier but has more hp. I had a 981 and have driven a 718. I prefer the 981. The 718 GTS with PDK and the 4 cylinder smokes them both if put semi slicks on it. I know the engine sounds terrible but it is a very capable car.
Jonny Wilde it was. I was messing with pressures all day. You can see a bit of a wiggle from my car first corner of the video. Was good fun mind! Not night and day between the cars is it. I was definitely pulling a few lengths on you though. Shame we hit traffic. See you on track somewhere sometime!
@@sharksarentblue5029 I should have dropped my pressures a bit, I just left them all day, they were at 38 on the back and 33 on the front when they heated up. The 718 has definitely got more pull coming out of the corners but like you say not night and day. I have just posted another video, I try to catch you towards the end. See you on another track no doubt!
Great driving. Excellent camera angle. Would you mind describing where yoou mounted it and using what? Thanks

@@jonnywildeGT4 Thank you so much for your detailed response. Definitely helped 🔥
Being a 981 owner it’s nice to see a draw in this case. 👍🏼
I am back there tomorrow. Hopefully get to race some more.
Does the new one pull away from you in the straights? Looks very close!

That was a great session. Meant to come and say hi, but never got chance. Assume your tyres were getting as squirrely as mine towards the end.
Yeah Peter, the tyres have seen better days now. The track was slippy all day I thought
