Yes really... So proud to be German🇩🇪. In my opinion Porsche makes the best coupé (all 911's) the best electric car (the taycan is amazing nothing like the shitty American Tesla's), and although I'm not fan of SUV's the cayenne truly is in my opinion the only acceptable one. The Cayman and Boxsters really are the best looking sport cars in their price range.. all cars really are amazing
I'm impressed by 2 things: 1. How consistent the cars are according to their own capabilities 2. How they get that level of torque from the 911 compared to an ELECTRIC car it's just insane! Thank you guys for this, it was amazing.
I was actually surprised at how well the Panamera did. Though the top end it starts to fade away the torque off the line was great. Even the stopping power it has. I genuinely thought the Cayenne had a more powerful engine and would be ahead of it.
It's got a turbo (obviously) and it's automatic. No thanks, regardless of its speed. I like more old fashioned cars. It's impressive, for sure, but that's not everything.
The 911 Turbo (S) has pretty much always been the most capable performance car over the road that one could live with everyday on the market. All of the performance of a Ferrari in a usable package with the comfort of a grand tourer, the reliability of a Toyota, and the build quality of, well, a Porsche. You know it won't rust out, or develope squeaks and rattles, or manifest electrical gremlins, just tens of thousands of miles of trouble free launches to 60 in 2.5 consistently.
Yeah Porsche must have done some insane wizardry with that 4.0L V8, even though the Cayenne Turbo GT has the same engine, and that car is still insane.
In that case the 911 will still win, followed by the Panamera annd the Taycan taking equal places, then the 718, cayenne and the macan in last place far behind.
@@mikeincognito nah, as an owner of the base Macan who's driven loaner base Cayennes, I can say that the lighter Macan would likely beat the much heavier base Cayenne. Will need a wider airstrip lol
@@Raedz_media It just goes to show that a BMW wearing an M badge isn't so exclusive anymore.
I'm no BMW enthusiast so don't quote me. I only recall them on 3, 5 and 6 series models back in the day and they were rare. Other than those, there was the Alpine.
@@sonicstep ,Alpina!
A lot of these share engines, just a matter of weight differences
Even though it finished 3rd (drag race) I'm super surprised on how well that Panamera launches. It launches harder than the 911 and Taycan. I was expecting both of those to beat the Panamera off the line.
Mat: The Tycan is so fast off the line.
Video shows the Panamera getting the jump on the Tycan.
🤣
911 Turbo makes me smile like a freaking kid. LOVE IT.
Next drag race Porsche edition : 911 Turbo S, 911 GT2 RS, 911 GT3 & 918 Spyder...more than excited this drag race...thank you...God bless you carwow
The previous video of the affordable luxury SUVs was the best video in a while, please make more of these!!!❤
Even though it got obliterated, the best pick in the entire Porsche lineup is the 4.0 GTS considering price tags. A Cayman GTS with no stickers and with a conservative color combination is just perfect!
This was a boxter not a cayman
@@Carpcontrol Well aware of that. The first sentance regards the Boxter and the second my personal preference which would be a Cayman.
what a reaction time for the pilot of the panamera!! breathtaking !
Breathtaking? Lol
@@mediocreman2
the name you give yourself suits you perfectly
I love porshe cars! They are amazing!911 and cayenne are my favourites, starting to dig the taycan and the panamera too.
the Taycan has never been ahead of the 911 not even for a second...thanks Porsche for letting the 911 be the king of Drag races
Loving this channel, Superb Content, Only in CarWOW 🔥🔥🔥
Love the videos❤
When you see the 911 do a 10.3 seconds 1/4 mile, it sort of justifies the extremely high price. 10.3 secs is insane.
Far from the best thing about that 911. A Tesla can beat that for significantly less money.
But the 911 has a lot of other things going for it.
Crazy how things change. I just spent the morning watching EVs drag race on video and 10.3 seems kinda slow.
That Cayenne is surprisingly light for a SUV with it's specs
That emotion at 7:13 worth a separate clip with Mat’s best emotions.
Ayooo
