The japanese lady said even japanese people have trouble saying that one japanese word but it's so easy to pronounce when you see it written down. You guys have no idea how easy you have it with pronunciation. It's child's play. Though grammar is much more difficult.
It's so cute because you can tell who watches a lot of anime lol. Anica for example is nailing it and Christina is following up really nice after her. I wonder why they didn't do the switcheroo thing this time, kinda missed it to see different outcomes. Also I gotta say you can really tell that the phonetic part of japanese is just so easy, because it doesn't matter where a letter is in the word, it's pronounced the same way across the entire language no matter where it is, so there are very little irregularities. Balances out the insanity that is the written part lol. It's funny because if I've ever met a person who learned japanese, they almost always just know the spoken part and SOME japanese signs as long as they're not kanji. I think that's a pretty good indication.
For Filipinos, its not that hard to pronounce Japanese words, since we have alot of vowels in our vocabulary. Most words either end with (a) or (o) such as "Ako" = Me "Kayo"= Them/you "Kumain ka na" = Did you eat yet? And also the way we pronounce our alphabets makes it easier. So yeah just a slight observation😁

Do they mean pitch-accent when they say intonations? We have pitch-accent in swedish swedish (not finnish swedish) and while context often will tell what you are talking about words like "buren" can mean "being carried" or "the cage "depending on the pitch-accent. It's interesting to hear it in other languages. I don't know how many we have, maybe just 2, but it differs in dialect so in one dialect you may use type A, and in another the same word uses type B Edit: Not sure if this game has been done with swedish words but that would be great to watch
What bothers me about this channel is that they have "Japanese" people who are clearly not native speakers of Japanese. They speak perfect Korean and have strange accents when they speak Japanese, so I can only assume they are people who grew up in Korea perhaps with some Japanese heritage. The first girl was completely off on her pronunciation of 郵便局 for example. It isn't hard to find actual Japanese people in Seoul who speak Korean so this is just a shame.
To the Filipina representative, they’re not dialects; they’re languages. I speak Chavacano, and you speak Tagalog. Can you even understand me? Dialects are variations of the same language. For example, Tagalog from Maynila and Tagalog from Batangas are different dialects of Tagalog, but they can still understand each other.

Southeast Asian languages are fundamentally different from East Asian languages in structure and linguistic roots. Therefore, I believe the Philippines and Indonesia have already met the expectations.
I thought they all did well and the person at the end should have guessed all. Maybe she's not familiar with last tongue twister and another word or two. The Korean seems to know some Japanese as she corrected one or two words that started to veer off.
I think Japanese language pronunciation is easier to imitate than Korean or English. So if you play a game with Japanese people in English or Korean, it will be more interesting.

母国語のみの方、生まれつき2ヶ国語以上の環境下の方、後から話せる言葉を増やした方の3パターンで結構変わると思うんです。なので初めと終わりの方は全くの母国語のみの場合を見てみたいなと思いました。
数カ国語話してるとイントネーションや文法がエラーだらけになるの、めちゃ分かります！
方言だけでも狂うのに外国語使ったあとは日本語が出てこなかったりしますよね。単語だけ外国語になってしまったりとか。

Many languages change meanings according to intonation. In Portuguese, "água de COco" means "coconut water", but "água de coCÔ" means "poop water".
In German, "umfahren" means drive around or run over. It depends on how it's pronounced.
