CASSOWARY COAST - Cairns Region and Fishing

The Cassowary Coast has so much to offer!!! We only touched the surface yet we saw so much in a short period of time. We fished, hiked, swam, and explored just a few of the beautiful water falls and rivers. The islands out from Cowley Beach and Mission Beach are a fantastic area to fish and explore out on the tinny. Launching the boat from Cowley is easy in the river and from Mission Beach at the Public boat ramp.
We were so lucky to see a male Cassowary with his 4 chicks. This whole area is a must to see.

How did you walk past that banana bread? Again stunning shots looking forward to getting back up there, I think I'll chuck my fishing rods my reels and all the tackle I've accumulated and buy an anchor ⚓ seems to work better. Thanks again for your great work.

Thanks Brenton, we went back and bought 3!! We froze 2 and ate banana bread for the next month !!! More chance with the anchor than anything else that’s for sure 😂😂
