This happened to me once. I was on a date with a guy at a pizza place and the waitress was continuously flirting with him. I let it go because I figured maybe she was just being friendly, but then we noticed a heart and a phone number on the check. She probably didn't realize I was paying for the meal, so I kindly left her a tip of $0 and a note that said "he's got everything he needs."

If I have 10-20 tables that need my attention while I'm taking my sweet time bantering with you, my boss is going to have a problem with me. So it's not a win-win.

I would have reacted negative on the 2nd disrespectful attempt and put a full stop on the 3rd, if they were mild. I worked as a waitress back in the day and I never heard of a waitress hitting on a customer sitting with a woman. For one thing, you've got a LOT of other stuff to do. And sitting with a customer? Not likely. But what I used to hate was men sitting with their wives hitting on me. I remember one guy who wasn't even a bit shy about it. Told me how pretty I was, how graceful, yadda yadda. Wife looked just miserable and embarrassed. So I proceeded to flirt shamelessly with her. Told her how great she looked (and she did, btw), lots of eye contact, little smile, touch the hand... She blossomed. Obviously hadn't had that kind of attention in a while. the guy settled down. I don't know why men do that, it's not cute.

Am I the only one wondering how none of the "tricked" parties weren't pissed at their own partner for calmly accepting those flirty gestures?
@Joana Yotkova No, you're not the only one wondering that. If somebody is getting flirty with my partner in front of me then it's on my partner to politely stop that. If it continues, rudely stop that by words. If even then that 3rd person don't stop, well, at that point it's on me to become aggressive. But, if my partner is accepting the flirting I think I have every answers about our "relationship". Ex-relationship. Just my opionion and point of view.
