- Eddie Marlin comes out to announce that due to no showing SIX TIMES IN A ROW, Snowman is stripped of the USWA title and a tournament will take place. You would have thought they would have stripped him sooner?

I'm sure this happened in a lot of territories, but it seemed no showing was a huge problem in Memphis. I wonder if it had to do with the supposedly low payouts?

The story on USWA Challenge was that Snowman got injured. Anyways, the belt was stripped.
The snowman was not injured that was a rumor of he say she say the only injury that was inflicted was when they defamed his character.

@@matthewwilson4270 Snowman got mad that him as the champ was in mid card matches and had mid card pay so he left the territory taking the belt with him. He even appeared on other shows with the title after he was stripped. "Selling it for crack" was just something the USWA said to save face.

He didn't say one title was vacant, he said, all titles were vacated, I've be a viewer of wrestling for 40 years, I wrestled for 20 years, and the both cases I never seen that. Fans like titles it adds to the excitement.

The payout story has pretty much been debunked by every wrestler to ever work for Jerry Jarrett. The story is that Gulas (who was notorious for it) put the word out that Jarrett was a cheap skate. Yet, no wrestler to work for Jarrett has backed this story up with them either saying he paid good or he paid fair. Nobody has ever said that he stiffed them on the pay outs.
Steve Austin talked about the payouts during his time with USWA & he said that he got a $25 payout & Jerry Jarrett told him "If you keep looking at the check, it's not going to get any bigger." He also said that it was the Nutrisystem territory because a lot of guys couldn't afford to buy anything to eat
Honky Tonk Man has also confirmed the shitty payouts. Plenty of wrestlers have been stiffed, youre just lying,

I love how he claims that no other organization has ever gone without a champion after having a title vacated 2 and a half years after the WWF had a major PPV World title tournament at Wrestlemania IV after going nearly 2 months without a champion.
Not what he said. They didn’t have any champions at all in the area. Southern title was defended in Dallas. No tag or World title.

Was gonna make a smart alecky remark about the belt being pawned for drug money. However, since I have heard more than one person say it, I can now attest to the rumor being fact.

@@dwayneross2349 I talked to Snowman some years ago. He told me he wouldn't give the belt back because they were racists and Lawler was a jerk. It was a rumor that he pawned that belt. He said "Look at me. You remember me from back then? I benched 550. Do I look like I smoke crack??" He said Lawler was a liar and hated no having his way.
