Maybe some more aggressive cams with timing adjustments would be able to allow the port work to really shine more.

From my experience it's not that it has a ported head, it's who did the head that matters
I really wish these bikes came with a Wideband O2 sensor - this way, you can set your AFR target and the ECU will correct (add or remove) fuel to stay on target when at WOT.

the akrpaovic exhaust is designed to be used on racetrack and works well with mufflers to reduce sound because a lot of racetracks are very strict on db levels.
Maybe another setup will have the same peak power or more for less money but it will be a lot louder so not interesting for people who use the bike what its actualy designed for riding racetracks with those strange things in them you know... corners lol
It was designed for whatever you buy it and use it for. Only punch drunk stormtrooper in high dollar clown suits think the bike is for circle racetracks and get pissed when people do what the hell they wanna do to “ THEIR” bikes.
I think the Brocks Penta Carbon Full Exhaust would of gave it 200hp.
Not true exhaust usually doesn't matter really as long as it's free flowing. A good system is based of how much volume and the velocity it moves thru that exhaust. Akra are great pipes they have the science down and so does brock's the mid pipe plays a huge factor in hp and the mid range power in the curve.
Acrapovic are the best quality exhaust on the market now days that doesn't means they are the most power makers, that's why we add dyno to our shops to test them.
And because there is a lot of talking about the dynos and number different between shops, guys Dyno is a tool (road simulation) that you put your bike before and after (service mod or tuning) to see if your engine works good your afr and if you gain or not, where and how much. Difference to temperature, to height, to drum weight, brand of Dyno, setting on Dyno gives the different numbers. Chris Moore #1 Greek fun.

I bought a 2020 zx10r and a 2019 zx10rr
Did alll the same mods from wheels to filter to exhaust to shifter.
Only thing was didn’t open the engine up so the zx10rr has better factory porting and titanium rods.
2020 zx10r 167 stock- 189 flash tune stock parts - 206 fully done
2019 zx10rr 167 stock - 191 flash tune stock parts - 211 fully done up
We raced the bikes against each other the rr alway pulled on the r 2-6 bike lengths till top end

4 months again you had a RR with stock header, Brocks Alien Slip on and 93 octane with more hp then this one with the complet Akra and MR12.
Didn't you already have a 2019 zx10rr on the dyno with basic bolt ons making more then this bike? Surely the port and polish was done by someone who doesn't know what they are doing
You nailed it actually this customer took his bike to Ricky Cunha who made a video on UA-cam as well showing in fact that whoever did the port and polish prior to this tune botched it. And what's worse is yes you noticed the slip on zx10rr make 200hp....how does this reputable tuner not notice this????

Akrapovic is a fantastic balanced exhaust for street performance and sound but not all out HP. Definitely can get a higher flowing exhaust like brocks but sound may be too much for some people for a daily Rider. Different Strokes for different folks. Personally the balance sound for daily riding with not killing my ears.
Usually people find out too late about the hearing thing. Tinnitus here.

Fiberglass is as bad as asbestos.
Any bike with a digital dash is pretty crappy. Rather have an actual gauge with the trusty needles and not a stupid LED tach strip blinding you at night when you bounce it of the limiter. Love the channel bro. Keep the videos coming 👍
Graves exhaust would wake it up more IMO, and as far as the RR and price, I love the RR, bit I would go with the SE model, that gets the RR wheels, 1 off paint scheme and electronic suspension. It also really depends on what your purpose is for the bike. If your a road course track day dude, attaching times it very well might be worth it. But if your just a weekend warrior hitting the highway with your boys, you could attain the same and possibly more with the zx10r.
You don't want to polish the intake on a port injected bike. You just want to port it. Only time to polish the intake is if you have direct injection
I hate seeing highly engineered road course machines purchased just to drive straight line 1/4 mile :( Though I guess you could do both :)
A good Header always makes life better

The owner WASTED his money on getting the head ported because Kawsaki PORTS the head on the ZX10 at the factory....have been for decades ..did hand port...surely Kawasaki KNOWS how to port a cylinder head ...LOL !

@@needmetal3221 it will benefit from a solid port job. Kawasaki only lightly cleans up the head. Guarantee it will pickup from someone that knows what they are doing.
Some advice don’t pay for overnight shipping. My ecu was delivered Friday at noon and I thought I’d get it back Saturday and got it back Tuesday. Not mad at Chris or anything just wished I’d gotten standard shipping. Basically wasted 45 bucks. Just some advice since standard shipping is 2-4 days anyways. Save yourself some money. Also don’t ship close to Friday that’s probably what got me screwed.

@@caperformance_motorsports what part? Mine is here at Wrenchman, sount a freaking bearing, had to get motor replaced. Mind you I just got the bike in October, so apparently who had before me did not take care of it. So I figured, get a used motor get valve clearance done replaced all gaskets, Am3 hoses and clamps (red) sprint air filter and my bazzaz and headers. Shoukd get him back this week.
People the Brocks performance pipes are the best on the market just look at the graphs. The line is more linear than the others akrapobitch are to wavey. BRAHS take it from elderly ride whos seen it all, practically.

I believe what you're saying Chris about the exhaust . That mid pipe is tiny. Bet it would've made over 200hp with a Brocks or some type of short GP exhaust (Austin racing) . Still badass though.
I'm not really impressed wit that number, I got that from my 07 with a worked engine. With the head port I was really expecting 200 from the start

The ZX10RR is built and ready for more aggressive cam that Kawasaki offers for racing and has titanium pistons. @mooremafia what headers and exhaust do you recommend for this bike? You said in the video the pipes were too small.
Chris, the most important detail I pulled from this video is clearly stated from 7:45 - 8:07. So with that being said, I have a 2017 ZX-10RR still with the stock/OEM titanium headers. For best performance and greatest power (based on your experiences), what exhaust do you highly recommend?

Akrapovic evo ,graves works & arrow competition exhausts have same header configuration for the zx10+rr and made specific for closed course circuit racing....delivering power across the whole band....instead of brocks big header and short pipes...which deliver upper rpm power and close to nothing in mid+ low thats why they are for straight racing...a.k.a drag racing. Exaust choice depends on the application you need it for.
Also zx10rr has from the factory redesigned heads with titanium conrods...and of course marchesini wheels and other stuff.

But just got done leaving a nice comment on a 650IB page where him and other guy talked shit about ur ecu flashing. U didnt flash my ecu but my bike was done a few years ago and i didn know of u. Hey Chris, maybe consider an exhaust capture funnel pipe with suction to pipe that crap outside?
From what I heard, the RR is not going to make more hp. The head and the extras in it are extra strong and reinforced IF you were to modify it heavily for racing. This bike needs cams, a kit racing harness, and a better exhaust for it to fully open up its potential in RELIABLE fashion. The regular 10R will do the same thing, but it won't be as strong if you were to go racing on a road race circuit over time.

I didn’t say akro was no good. I agreed with Chris. A bigger port and cam combo would indeed benefit from a big tube 4-1. For big gains on the top. I don’t believe there is a over the counter big tube

They do work good but I have seen the same on my R1 which was all the bells and whistles we change to a auper bike race only exhaust and boom the bike performed as expected. The EVO line is good but they have Race only and once you get that big difference

With the money this guy spent of a tricked out RR, why did he not just go with the H2? More power from the factory and likely cheaper! What am I missing here?
Definitely not worth it for that guy. Looks like he is roll racing set up and not even going to utilize the benefits of a “RR” that are used for circuit track.
Would be nice to see you at a roll race event sometime this year to see how you stack up with the fastest roll race bikes 💪🏼

Not 200 but anything over 190 hp is very impressive. I'm sure if you did velocity stacks and some other work to the bike it would be over 200.

@@tysta2 every dyno reads differently. Peak hp isn’t the only number that matters . The difference in number is likely due to one dyno # being std and the other sae. I’m a tuner as well and Moore posts real numbers not inflated bs

most bike he runs stock have very similar numbers to several dynos i know.

@@tysta2 how can he not blame that exhaust ? It very well could be the culprit as well as it could not be it’s a 50/50 I personally would have removed the muffler to test that theory. You can tell he wasn’t impressed with the numbers either . As a tuner I wouldn’t be but then again if he didn’t build it , something could never well be wrong like the cam timing .. if the cams are degreed wrong you won’t make the power it should . The porting could have also screwed up the flow it wasn’t done right . Too many variables to know for sure why it’s down on power

Hi Chris! I'm from India and planning on a 2019 zx10r with the woolich racing auto tune kit. Possible to purchase a flash from you as a starting point/base map on which one can run the auto tune log box for fine tuning?
Edit: not looking at max performance and advanced ignition timings because fuel quality can tend to be a little inconsistent. Just smooth running and no restrictions. Safe and quick ;)

I stand corrected but ZX14R ports are hand polish from the factory seemly was the first production bike to have this done
@@K-carbon even my my 05 zx10r had a very nice head from the factory , kawi used to sell an oem “thin “ head gasket with kawi “kit” cams and a remapped ect . Had the race kit on my 04 zx6r and 05 zx10r

Chris you just got 200 out of one a few months back with just a slip on and a flash. So why do you think the Akra pipe is the reason this one made less power even with a port and polish on the head? This ain't a big motor with with cams and need a bigger header. Me personally I think its an issue with the port on the head and not the pipe. I bet if he put a stock head back on it makes more power.
