I just got a new 0 miles but 2018 zx10rr (2 days ago) obviously a winter edition and i would kill somebody or sell my soul to have it in green, im actually looking for Somebody who would lile to swap everything from a krt edition hahaha i know im crazy and i would be racing it but would be street track use at least for the first year
A few HP, less internal weight, it's going to reduce significant time per gear to reach top speed in each gear before shifting. It's all the little details people ignore.

Surprised he didn't mention the light weight Forged Marchesini's. They drop rotating mass, and add serious $, hence the price boost this year.!
It's a proper homologation special up there with likes of the ZX7-RR, RC30, OW-01, RC45, it's one of 500, revs to 14,700rpm and it's GREEN. Where do I sign?
i have the 2017 winter edition model and the dealer called and asked if i would like the 2019

i bet its highly restricted in oem form , ffs it still has a cat . I would really like to see this bike in its real form / ecu flash exhaust and all the common modes .

Why not ride it on the road? As you said lighter handling and faster stopping. Sounds excellent for the road to me.
They save 100 (102 actually) grams per connecting rod, over steel, for a total of 400 grams... not 400 per rod.
@Joseph Marton it's a moving part. Same as reducing few kgs of stagnant weight. Physics.

Most of the price difference can be accounted for by the Ti con rods alone.

The gauges are the big difference...there's even a fuel gauge..the wheels and gauges are my favorite.but the rr's color has to go. The base models just as good.
Wouldve been nice if they switched over to the lcd screen like Suzuki, Ducati, aprilia. Fuel gauge is a nice convenience to have. My buddys 2016 cbr 600 even has a fuel gauge and he has no other electronics.

As a road bike in terms of comfort how does it compare to the rest of the remaining litre sports bikes since ergonomics haven't changed for 2019 !
I currently have a GSX-R600 and it’s my everything bike. I want the ZX10RR It looks awesome. I’d get this and also a cheap used ZX10R and beat the snot out of it until I’m A group ready to get the most out of the RR
This bike is perfect its gona be fast just wait .....they are are gona be offering a full exhaust system wich will give it a good HP BOOST AN THEY EVEN HAVE RACE CAMS FOR THE RR EDITION WICH WILL GIVE YOU A GOOD BOOST OF POWER FROM 204 HP TO A GOOD 220ISH OR BIT MORE WITH A GOOD TUNE AN FLASH THIS BIKE IS WINNING CHAMPIONSHIP AGAIN .....

It's big Green's equivalent to the R1M, which is about the same cost.
Whine whine whine. Everyone just wants manufacturers to crank out "all new" bikes every few years or they criticize and whine and complain. They don't ride the current models, they don't use 50% of their capability. Yet, we must all do our grave diligence to criticize everything every manufacturer does every time they do it.
It's about having something that's going to be a collectable. People who have money don't care and will buy one or maybe two.

"can't" use 50% of a 20 year old bike but track day is another story - no chicken stripes on my tires but not about to challenge rossi either

They do it cuz theyre the same guys that say they wouldnt buy it due to instrument cluster or color smh glad the bike can goto someone that realizes whats going on.

I like the fact that they kept the headlight on only one side, not giving a toss if it looks pretty or not. Because it doesn't matter. Those are the small details I enjoy.

Ohlins is a very well known brand for sure but showa knows how to do it to and ill give it a shot to this gas charged showas for racing, just propper Springs

It's not just revs. Less mass means less wasted energy. Lighter internals make more power simply because they take less energy to move.
This guy is clueless. The difference in the valves is that they use finger follower valve actuators making the valve system 20% smaller and allowing room for taller cam profiles. The Connecting rods are titanium for the "RR" as opposed to stainless steel on the "R" to reduce weight and withstand higher stress levels which allows the 600rmp increase. Get your damn facts straight before you post a video MCN. I thought these guys were supposed to be professionals. What a joke.
mcn you can go jump i use my zx10RR on the road and on the track i walk in gave them cash on the spot so for you to say it is only for the elite is down right wrong.

the real slim shady. Mate of mine had to go from 10 and a half stone to 9 stone to compete in the Ulster Grand Prix. He held the lap record at the Carrowdore 100 in Northern Ireland for 14 years until Robert Dunlop took his Crown away. All riders then had to fast or go hungry lol.......:)

Boring bike, even the paint scheme is lame. Kawasaki needs to step up their game!. The colors suck and this green tone is hideous, not to mention so much money for very little performance upgrade. I'd rather buy a BMW S1000RR for the money.
