Deniz Çakırhan I’m not sure how much you have seen of lost so read at your own risk aka spoiler alert: Turning that wheel teleports you to that specific spot in Tunisia. It’s basically a magical “exit” off the island or something (it gets answered in season 5 when Locke meets Charles whitmore). My guess is they had the polar bears down there to turn the wheel every time they wanted to move the island (because it’s frozen down there too, it’s perfect for polar bears) and as a result, the polar bear gets transported to that location. They kinda have to sacrifice a polar bear every time they want to do that.
Rana enjoys literally any show that is the least bit entertaining, no offense to her as a person. I'm certainly not like that, I am very critical about the fine details in TV shows, and other people don't care as much.
I am not sure if alot of people actually get this, but the reason Jin survived was because he jumped off the freighter and by the time Ben moved the island, he was within the Magnetic field so he basically just drifted back to shore to the island where Daniel Ruso's team found him accept in a different time. Where as Jack and the rest ended up outside the magnetic field of the island which is how Penny's boat was finally able to locate them because he did not exist within the spacial magnetic field of the island. In other words the island and surrounding ocean mass is controled by an anamoly that moves through time. Which is why NO ONE was ever able to find the island. Its quite interesting, i just wish this show would have stuck to its scientific roots instead of detering into a more fantasy fictional supernatural tone.

Season 5 is the best because it answers a whole bunch of questions and you don't even notice it. Oh and also: Rana:"every one compares BB or GOT with LOST." Well yeah... LOST was the first show to have these huge cliffhangers and fractured narrative and season openings that felt out of place to just later become legendary. So yeah, BB and GOT tried to incorporate that into them too, but LOST was the first to pull it off and it's still the best ever since (at least in that department).

I feel like the polar bears are kind of a meme in the fandom at this point! People asking about it is equally funny and frustrating because the show explicitly said they were brought to the Island by the Dharma for experimentation in season 3. About 90-95% of the questions do get answered & the rest you can puzzle out if you think about it. If the show went out of the way to answer all the questions blatantly, people would complain about that. People really over complicate the story. And at its core, the story is about the journey of the characters, not getting ‘answers.’ It’s about ‘learning to let go.’

Ben seems to be transported into the Sahara desert after turning the ancient wheel as we've seen him with that jacket and the arm injury there. When we first met Charlotte in their introduction episode, as an anthropologist she was in the middle of a desert in Tunisia (which is one of the countries to have some part of the Sahara desert) where she found some POLAR BEAR bones next to a COLLAR that has a DHARMA HYDRA STATION symbol on it, where we've seen at least two cages for BEARS. It means a polar bear transported from the Island to Sahara desert just like Ben, probably turning the wheel. So, DHARMA was probably using the bears for making experiments with the wheel, possibly besides other experiments. It makes sense because the chamber of the wheel is really COLD. This is INFORMATION BASED ON ONLY THE RECENT EPISODES, NOT SEASON 5 & 6 or more, which will contain a little bit more clarification.
