      Yes elvis did become addicted to prescription drugs
      When you become that famous & cannot leave you’re own house to go for a walk or go to the cinema or spend time with family without the public bombarding you for autographs or to rip the clothes off of you’re back as a keepsake... then what else was the man to do ??? He took advice from his doctors like anyone would.
      The man was the first time the world had seen a superstar, he himself lead the first steps of being a superstar, unlike today where the media & stars work along side with each other & doctors are monitored in what they do
      Unfortunately he was a guinea pig being the first superstar of music .... many things have been learnt from the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll living a life of poverty while he was young then all of a sudden being spring-boarded into a millionaire superstar ..... unfortunately a little too late as he is now dead.
      The world still keeps his music alive, his family keeps his spirit Alive, he himself made what it is today
      God bless the Presley family & May Elvis Presley Rest In Peace

    • @jeffryphillipsburns
      @jeffryphillipsburns Рік тому +7

      I think you mean fifties. Elvis was pretty much washed up by the early sixties, although he did eventually stage a sort of a come back later in the sixties with a couple more hits. In any case, he had made his big splash in the fifties, not the sixties. By the sixties he was old news, and his remaining fans were not teenagers.

    • @kate_s_90
      @kate_s_90 Рік тому +7

      @@jeffryphillipsburns nope. I said the 60s and that’s what I meant lol 60s Elvis was my favourite. As much as he hated many of them, I loved lots of his films. And I’d disagree wholeheartedly with the description “washed up”. He was far from washed up at that point. I would’ve loved to have been around when he was performing again after his 68 comeback. Would have been a dream to see him live.

      Kate, you are obviously letting your intense sexual attraction of Elvis cloud your judgement.
      Elvis was a crap guitar player - in fact he was just a beginner.
      Elvis was a crap songwriter - in fact he knew this thats why he never attempted to write his own songs.
      Elvis openly talked about women giving him oral sex in his "this is elvis" documentary.
      Its already on UA-cam Kate.
      Just type in "this is elvis" on UA-cam.
      You cannot debunk my points because you know i am right - if you have the courage to watch it.
      And remember my other points too.

    Elvis was unfailingly polite. Many of these reporters were asking him ridiculous and personal questions and he was so kind when he told them that he wasn't comfortable answering. What a truly respectful, hilariously funny and overall great person he was. How he stayed so humble and light with his stardom is a bit of a miracle. Such a beautiful soul, inside and out.

    • @christianaberdeen4561

      Presley died on a toilet straining to poo*p when his distended colon burst his heart connected artery. Elvis Presley was a sa* anist puppet. Rock &roll even gets his name from its idea - to rock and roll living stones (us) away from Christ's temple. Why do you think the most iconic rock band was called Rolling Stones. What goes with rock? Drinking, drugs, unrestrained sex, violence, 'do as you wilt'. Presley started generations of sat&anism and helped mess up probably billions of people. So he got a similarly ignominous end to the likes of king Herod.

He was giving to people in need and never acted better or above anyone. The comment he made that it was hard living up to an image is just a peek of the struggles of his fame. I'm 42, not a great music lover and like some songs that have a catchy rythem but couldn't tell you who sang them. I love movie's though and after watching Elvis 2022 with Tom Hanks I have watched everything possible on UA-cam about Elvis and must have watched the movie 20 times...
    When I saw that he passed at 42 it really gave me a wake up (I'm 42).
    Best movie of the year and even after all these years I have now become a doting fan of Elvis and really wish that he had gotten to travel and show the world what he could do.
    Incredibly generous gentleman taken way to early.
    RIP Elvis - you will be remembered forever 🙏

    Elvis looks awesome in the army interview that he did right after getting back home to Graceland. I love this interview. God Blessed us when he created this gorgeous man. Elvis is so humble and respectful to everyone. The one thing that would have made it perfect is if Gladys would have been there when Elvis got home. He loved his Moma so much. Many say that Elvis never got over losing her. It had to be sad for Elvis coming home and his Mom not there. His sudden rise to fame was very hard on Gladys. I just wish that she could have been around to see all of the wonderful things that Elvis did for others. I will always love Elvis. R.i.p. Elvis. You will never be forgotten.

      Because of that jerk elvis made some mistakes like not going on tour outside the US, dropping off the. Main role from the movie "star is born", giving up the song "i will always love you" of dolly parton, thannks God that elvis and the producers of 68 comeback special didn't let that jerk intervene in the show content

    I think in the 1973 interview it looked like he was no longer enjoying it and it wasn't fresh for him anymore. Same old questions, the same answers, for him thousands of times. He was divorced, drugs were getting more seriously in the picture, and he was on his way to his downfall just a few very short years later. It's hard to believe that he's the same guy as in his 68' special.
