I’m an X-men fan for life. Love all comicbook creations but Xmen takes the cake for me. I can sum it up simply. The X Men's core story was an analogy for bigotry. That's why the X Men as a story lasted for decades. It forced people to look at the ugly mirror of judging a group of people and tried to be fair to all perspectives. Example. You have Professor X with an idealistic philosophy, while Magneto shares some sentiments with Professor X, Magneto sees his "race" as a superior evolution. Then you have the human side that actually have a legit reason to fear mutants and have seen bad mutants do real world damage. What I loved about the X Men is exploring these ideas. The Avengers was never meant to be an analogy for a segment of society.
The problem is "evolution" isn't a thing they have to worry about. More like. "Oh that guys weird." Vs a whole race is being birthed genetically to replace us. With superheros I guess a human can also kinda be one. You can't just be a mutant though in the mutant world. The first mutant was probably not as scary as an evolutionary threat. 1 Spiderman doesn't change anything. A lot of babies being born with Spiderman jeans is kinda scary😂. It's a different story
@@cold485 In-universe the first Mutant wanted to be a god and nearly started the Apocalypse. (Assuming X-Men:Apocalypse is consistent with the original lore.)
This is why I've always felt like mutants and the x men feel like they should be part of their own separate universe. The average human isn't going to know how a super got their powers, but somehow they know to discriminate against mutants and not mutates.
Me personally, i think its rather stupid people fear mutants. I mean, literally, if mutants were real, i could've been standing right next to one and it wouldn't make a difference. Some find him intimidating but he isnt a mutant.
To play devils advocate, in the real world you don't need lots of people to create massive amounts of death and destruction. Example, if you look up crime stats or terrorism stats, you will find that roughly 5% of the human population actually does criminal violence. That means 95% are good or at least non violent. Yet those 5% are the reason we have militaries, cops, prisons, and lots of mourning families. What I'm pointing out is the power of 1 person focused of harm and how that plays out in loss of life in the real world. I person can kill many people. They can inspire uprising and chaos. They can create nightmares in history. NOW I want to to imagine that one person now has Mutant powers that science can barely understand since its unique from person to person. im the opposite tbh i prefer xmen movies way more than avengers. bit more of a serious and dark undertone to the xmen movies and more relatable and more original in ways.
The real reason the xmen are hated so much was bc it was wrote that way lol, the writers intentionally did that for a comparision to similar things in the real world. The problem is that doesnt work too well in the modern day, there is no way that most humans would fear mutants like that. They dont even know how the other superhero's got their powers anyways so irl they would probably think their mutants. Even if people were scared of them no one would allow people to get percecuted and mass murdered by sentinals both humans and mutants would stand up against that esp nowdays. Its not our fault the writers decided to make their world so extreme, like instead of peaceful protest you see mutants in movies raiding the white house demanding for equality... you see what i mean by they write their world is so extreme LOL, like thats not helping and irl i dont think anyone would do stuff like that. It honestly makes it hard to see how they live in the same world as the avengers. So instead of it being tame and like mutants begging for equality, which they would probably get irl in a more accepting society, they are wrote in extreme ways and hated in extreme ways which is supposed to be fueled by fear but comes off borderline racist. Which honestly makes it hard to read sometimes but i still love the xmen tho.
@TheTrueZenix If Mutants existed today there’s no way that they would exist side by side. A society cannot function if part of the population has superhuman abilities and another doesn’t.
You must be really naive to think that mutants would not be feared or secretly targeted and inspected about in the real world if they existed. X Men is written pretty well and even the Fox ones are better than most MCU imo. It's the fans who forgive MCU more than they do for XMen including the continuity issues.
The issue with mutants in the marvel universe is that they represent a dangerous weapon. People are afraid of them because of their destructive power. A single teenage mutant in high school could easily kill all of his classmates. Imagine if cyclops walked into a shopping mall and decided to just shoot everyone. Humans would have no chance. That's why there are examples of the mutant registration act. A single powerful mutant could serve as a weapon of mass destruction. even low level mutants like sabertooth have killed scores of humans for fun.
@@RajivKumar-xp9qn Your argument also fails when you ignore that the mutants aren’t just villains, that’s generalizing an entire race. You’re also forgetting that 9/10 the “bad guy” mutants are against humans for a reason.
@@Smirk_Blur Telling humans, that it is their fault is difficult. It's easier to blame the others If a black slave were to kill his slave owner, he would be seen by whites as the bad guy, not the only who enslaved him
It’s because of movie representation Avengers got cool movies that can appeal to all with a lot of cool action and a loveable cast So everyone who hasn’t read the comics see the Avengers as the face of marvel The X-men probably did have a couple good movies as they were milking Wolverine but it was old timey so people don’t really re-watch it unless they are a diehard fan of x-men They even messed up the X-men costumes making them all black instead of the unique colors that actually gave them cool designs So everyone associates the Movie X-men with all X-men
No explination will ever make sens. If it were the NUhumans(hybrid descendant of inhumans & humans), I wouod defenetly understand the hate since they are the result of an alien experiment from an alien race trying to extand their empire
Not a not comic book reader but i have seen all the X-Men films and all the Marvel films and I like Avengers way more than X-Men because Avengers feels like a group of powerful individuals with mutual interest but not a family but X-Men feels like a family so technically X-Men should be better right but no that's because of different kind of ideology between the members of Avengers watching them interacting feels interesting but watching X-Men doesn't and name "Avengers" is way cooler than "X-Men" and X-Men is mainly about Xavier, Logan and Magneto in Films and their stories always revolves around saving Mutants from Humans but Avengers is like group of superhero come together only if there is a high dangerous threat. So that premiumness comes with Avengers.
Nah most of the Infinity Saga were worse than X Men movies imo. X Men does not have a single bad film like few of the Infinity Saga films. The worst were Dark Phoenix and Apocalypse and still I would say they were better than some of the Thor sequels and movies like Captain Marvel.
pretty sure peopple dont know hulk and spidermans origin story in the marvel verse to say they are diffrent from mutants mutants dont even make sense to me considering they are so much yet they are never really shown how can the entire world be in danger and not one mutant with powers step up marvel messed up when creating the mutant idea and impplicating it into the same universe as other heroes
I always found it weird how stryker in the comics is a religious extremist who believes Mutants are basically abominations in the eyes of God yet ignores literal Gods like Thor or Zeus
I think the new X-Men should take place in a new reality where the Avengers don’t exist and the X-Men are an established team. Kinda go for the same tone and style as X-Men 97. Probably go for more modern timeline or maybe take it to the 90’s like the animated series.
Nothing stopping Marvel from doing that but that is too good of an idea, so Marvel won't do it. I have said for years how an overloaded superhero world makes no sense in the long term. The world works in balance. You would think with so many God like heroes, you would have solved all of the worlds issues and many of which would prevent many of the reasons people become super villians in the first place.
That's a rather weaka$$ argument. The X-Men are feared because they were born this way, the avengers are not because they have mutated... I mean, can't we just accept that the X-Men writers couldn't be bothered about a more nuanced approach and just went for the us vs them rhetoric which is deep and layered lol.
cuz the avengers movies were more comic accurate, with charm and comedy, minimal cringe the X-Men movies were not very comic accurate, some comedy, questionable casting
X men doesn't have any villain they just convert one of their member into bad guy and at the end of the movie they forgive him and again he is memeber of x men movie stories are worst lack of continuity

The X-men casually use their powers to fuck with and threaten random people on the street (Mostly Wolverine threatening to stab people)
To me the X-Men are bigger and better heroes than the Avengers because they fight for a world that hates and fears them, but they still go out of their way to help people and protect the world in spite of all the hate and intolerance.
im the opposite tbh i prefer xmen movies way more than avengers. bit more of a serious and dark undertone to the xmen movies and more relatable and more original in ways.
And how would the population know that Spiderman is not a mutant?
You explained it pretty good.
@TheTrueZenix
If Mutants existed today there’s no way that they would exist side by side.
@@_sayan_roy_ yes they would probably get discriminated and targeted but it definitely would not be to the scale as the xmen media.
Actor Joe Locke has opened up about the Disney Plus series Agatha All Along and also confirmed his character's sexuality.
the thing is....I like x-men because WOLVERINE
You made some good points. The current humans are prioritizing their own well being instead of thinking about their children's future.
Wolverine should be the one to sacrifice himself to save the multiverse
All of Marvel is My Favorite Including Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Spider-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy
But Spider-Man’s identity is secret right so how would anyone know that he’s not a mutant?
X-men is about racism…that’s why
Who hates the xmen?Is this from inside the comics point of view ?
It is
Disney Plus series Agatha All Along and also confirmed his character's sexuality.
Xmen are awesome, I wasn’t aware that people like more avengers?
He is talking about in MCU universe. People fear the mutants and love the avengers . That's what he is talking about
I actually am quite fond of the X-Men movies
When you told me this in 2018 I would have said yes
Honestly X men 97 has better story than the entire MCU
I always wondered why all the xmen films have bad endings where the humans never win.
What? People love X men way more then the Avengers, you do realize. Oh, i thought this was a meta video talking about the audience. I get it now
So cool 🎉
Would the Fantastic Four count as mutates?
No, they got their powers from space
Reed's son is a mutant tho
I love both
The issue with mutants in the marvel universe is that they represent a dangerous weapon.
I think at one point X-Men will in up part of the AVENGERS in a movie
I grew up with the avengers I was never really into the xmen besides wolverine
Whose we💀 we all like the xmen
Fire
Also most X-men villains are mutants
So if mutants didn't exist, they might not ne able to safe us from danger, but the danger wouldn't exist as well
I think that's besides the point of X-Men for me.
Same thing can be said about the avenger’s villains tho. “Oh the villains are human, so that means humans should be extinct!”
@@Smirk_Blurthe people being saved are also humans... so you are required to think from their pov... that's where your argument fails.
It's easier to blame the others
If a black slave were to kill his slave owner, he would be seen by whites as the bad guy, not the only who enslaved him
PEOPLE Love x men and avengers!
All I’m gonna say is “Mutant and proud”
Well this aged well
Reality is X-Men is always been greater than the Avengers.
It’s because of movie representation
Avengers got cool movies that can appeal to all with a lot of cool action and a loveable cast
So everyone who hasn’t read the comics see the Avengers as the face of marvel
The X-men probably did have a couple good movies as they were milking Wolverine but it was old timey so people don’t really re-watch it unless they are a diehard fan of x-men
They even messed up the X-men costumes making them all black instead of the unique colors that actually gave them cool designs
So everyone associates the Movie X-men with all X-men
mutates are born with different DNA that's literally how they can get powers while normal pple would die if they got beaten by radioactive spiders etc
Akira Fudo jumpscare
Of course, it's my old friend Ryo!
@@mrheadcannon I love them both so much
2:04 Shouldn't they hate him more?
Its funny how mutants only exist bc Stan Lee ran out of ideas of how characters got their powers.
The Fantastic 4 left the chat
That would be a nice topic for another video, maybe when the movie comes out 🤔
No explination will ever make sens.
If it were the NUhumans(hybrid descendant of inhumans & humans), I wouod defenetly understand the hate since they are the result of an alien experiment from an alien race trying to extand their empire
Nah, we want the avengers because they are all like us, just an ordinary guys.. Their story corelate to us..
Before 2011 it was xmen they loved and spiderman fantastic 4 hulk now it just avengers and spiderman
I like the X Men way more than the Avengers
I love Xmen movies the only problem Xmen had was they couldn't make movies in a good way like avengers infinity saga
Nah most of the Infinity Saga were worse than X Men movies imo. X Men does not have a single bad film like few of the Infinity Saga films. The worst were Dark Phoenix and Apocalypse and still I would say they were better than some of the Thor sequels and movies like Captain Marvel.
@@_sayan_roy_ really? Lol
pretty sure peopple dont know hulk and spidermans origin story in the marvel verse to say they are diffrent from mutants
mutants dont even make sense to me considering they are so much yet they are never really shown
how can the entire world be in danger and not one mutant with powers step up marvel messed up when creating the mutant idea and impplicating it into the same universe as other heroes
Oh, you're talking in the verse ok,
People hate the X-men?!
Oh never mind your talking about the people in the movies
I always found it weird how stryker in the comics is a religious extremist who believes Mutants are basically abominations in the eyes of God yet ignores literal Gods like Thor or Zeus
marvel's claude frollo lmao
The original X men series was loved unanimously, not sure what you mean by people hate x men.
I love the X - MEN
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes ouiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
X - MEN
JUSTICE LEAGUE
FANTASTIC FOUR
THE AVENGERS
OUI
Shut up people love the xmen
Who hates the xmen?
In the X-Men universe, anti-Mutant people are prejudiced against Mutants including the X-Men
I think the new X-Men should take place in a new reality where the Avengers don’t exist and the X-Men are an established team.
I mean, can't we just accept that the X-Men writers couldn't be bothered about a more nuanced approach and just went for the us vs them rhetoric which is deep and layered lol.
lol true
cuz the avengers movies were more comic accurate, with charm and comedy, minimal cringe
the X-Men movies were not very comic accurate, some comedy, questionable casting
x-men are stronger than avengers take that stupid avengers x-men is better
Avengers is just better and surperior
X men doesn't have any villain they just convert one of their member into bad guy and at the end of the movie they forgive him and again he is memeber of x men movie stories are worst lack of continuity
Bad execution in x men movies
Still better than most of the MCU.
