MK11 my favorite interpretation of him, the second time they have him portrayed him with an Asian appearance in the series(first one being MK2 ending), though I bet the reason they could portray him as both White and Asian is probably because he's Chinese American.

Pretty sure Cassie did when it was revealed. She had a minor hunch but prioritized the mission over it.

Knowing it's a training mission makes his dialogue after beating each of them take on a different meaning. He's teaching them something, not mocking them

You actually see Kuai Liang evolve as a character. MK9: Young, brash, wanting revenge for his brother MKX: Wise, cool headed, willing to make peace with Hanzo Hasashi rather than seek revenge MK11: Willing to fight with and avenge Hanzo Hasashi, fights for his entire clan rather than just his brother and a title, rather than ostracize Cyrax for being a cyborg, he's willing to take him back to the Lin Kuei cyborg or not.
Why else would he be in Outworld at the beginning? He was already on the run from his ninja clan because of the cyber initiative, revenge would be the only reason and he isn't brash he just wants to fight his brother's killer. He'd never be against Cyrax because Cyrax was forcibly converted.

Always admired sub zero. I would like to hear people's thoughts but I do feel like if Jin wasn't part of the group cage would have an easier time getting things done. Jin went on his own on this mission still asked for a plan... The other time he risked a war for a bread thief... Jin was the only immature of the group.

Let’s be reasonable, they did throw a power boost their way that only activates when family are in genuine danger. I highly doubt Sub-zero could have won if Cassie had believed JOhnny or Sonya were in mortal peril from the Lin Kueai
The Cage's green halo is basically a kryptonite for gods, so that plus military gear and training equals kontender
Also, there's a little thing called a character arc, aka, the hero's journey. Cassie at the start of MKX wouldn't have beaten Shinnok, but Cassie grew as a person, squad commander, etc., throughout the game, and THAT Cassie was able to beat Shinnok.
I realized this was a test the second Sub-Zero spoke and it was still awesome. I have to give Netherrealm credit, with few exceptions that really nail the look, style and voice acting of their characters. Every aspect works and in general, they all work together flawlessly.
Sub-Zero beat Cassie.
Cassie beat Shinnok.
Sub-Zero could beat Shinnok.

Because he is. Scorpion earned his Grandmaster title when he did what Sub Zero did first: restore their clan. Sub Zero has much more experience and he is much stronger than Scorpion. Not to mention Sub Zero has more overall wins against Scorpion as well.
