    Just bought a new current-model Phillips all-in-one pressure cooker and not being a chef/cook I felt frightened of using it. By far, this was the BEST video ever (all of your videos are brilliant), and so helpful about the release! So I used the wooden spoon at a safe distance and was so glad I did, and I could control the release a bit more so as to not feel so intimidated by it! Thanks so VERY much!

    I am still not used to the time settings on the instant Pot.... I know it takes time to build up pressure and temperature.... but if it says 4 minutes.... why doesn't that mean 4 minutes once the time starts counting down? I am currently cooking Mac n Cheese and the 4 minutes has taken well over 30 minutes now...... I just don't understand this.... Please help.

    Hello Amy, I am seriously considering buying us an "instant jar" soon. For me, I have concerns because I consider this device a little dangerous. I don't know what size to take. My husband and I are not big meat eaters but we would love to do more cooking and everything looks a lot easier with this kitchen appliance. Could you guide us please? thank you ! I love your youtube site and your website. Have a nice day !

    I always see natural release on instant pot recipes, but I don't know if that means keep warm after done or don't keep warm. If I keep warm, it can stay pressurized for 1-3 hours when the pot is half full or more and if I don't keep warm, the pressure button will drop after maybe 20 minutes. When you/others say natural release is that with keep warm or without?

    I have a pot that may be newer that has a quick release round valve and a slider button for seal and release. The food is cooked. The pot says end I put the slider button down to release the pressure but the Button is still up and has been off for like 30 minutes. What do I do?

    Thank you Amy. My concern is that quick release is when the vitamins and minerals and flavors escape in the steam, so what if I pressure cooked for "0" minutes and waited for natural release? Would not that hold in more flavors?

    • @Pressurecookrecipes
      @Pressurecookrecipes  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Colleen, Jacky here! The vitamins and minerals are mostly water-soluble so as long as they are on a trivet, it will be fine. Take care & stay safe :)

    Very informative video! Thank you! However, since day 1 of owning my Instant Pot I have had an issue with the Floating Valve not dropping when the pressure has been released, either with quick release or natural release. When it has been more then 5-10 minutes I use a chopstick to touch the valve and it instantly drops. What is the average time for the pressure to release with either method? Any suggestions on how to fix this issue? Or is my Instant Pot Floating Valve defective?

    • @Pressurecookrecipes
      @Pressurecookrecipes  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Christel, the average time for the pressure to release with the quick release method is 1 - 3 minutes. It could be the floating valve is not installed properly. You can take off the silicone part of the floating valve, take it out and install it again.
      Take care! Jacky

    I do have a question that needs an answer and it is related to pressure release. When food is done according to the timer it switches to keep warm doesn't that continue to cook? Should we hit cancel? Otherwise it will keep heating and take longer to natural release.

    • @Pressurecookrecipes
      @Pressurecookrecipes  3 роки тому +2

      It will not make any difference as the keep warm mode will kick in well after pressure is released.
      Please take care & have fun cooking
      Jacky

    When performing a natural release, should the Instant Pot warm function remain ON, Or should it be turned off? It seams this would be a determining factor for how long the natural release would take.

    Have you every tried to make Mongolian Beef before in the instant Pot? Is that one thing you would like to challenge? I've made Mongolian Beef before the usual way, pan frying, but it never comes out the same way as the restaurants'.

    If you speak about 15-20 percent faster, you will retain the attention of intelligent listeners who have a tendency to be impatient. It will also seem more natural. Your numbers will definitely go up also. Try it.

      How many views do you have on your UA-cam? Stop giving generic advice as if everyone on UA-cam likes the same things. They don’t. I’m surely not a dullard who can’t pay attention for longer than a minute or needing someone to talk like they are twista rapping a recipe. Her speech is fine. Make a UA-cam get some views maybe your opinion would matter then.
