I like the drop in the Kat walk. I have had several mowers and non of them have had a place I can put a small cooler. When I mow I mow large areas that can take several hours to mow so this was huge for me. Cold drinks and food
Yea but the cat walk is definitely a little short . Iif over 6 foot your legs can go over cat walk .. but if you want that compact size .. have to give up some space 🤟
+Dmaxxin Awesome bro ...what engine does it have ...I would guess the 21.5 ...since the 48 has the 18 ...was it more $$ than the Kohler?? ..I can tell you one thing it will be lighter than mine ....that Kohler is huge ...but I get great fuel consumption so far really surprising
I also have nothing against the Kohler.. if anything I'm a fan, just didn't want to have any regrets on this purchase so I upgraded as much as possible.
Yes sir! It does have the 21.5 and cost was $200 more. I don't have the mower yet as it's winter in Chicagoland but should be taking delivery around the end of the month. Told them to throw a set of armrests on it :)
+Dmaxxin yea I figured...the cost at gie was pretty good at $4299 ..I got a good deal ..under 4k ...I like the Kohler gas consumption..I get over 6 hours on full tank ...better than my Bob cat with the kawi ..but it was a bit heavier....let me kno how it goes
Great reviews, appreciate them all. I pulled the trigger yesterday on a Liberty Z 52" w/ 21hp Kawi. Regarding the big guy comment, I am 6' 2" and felt comfortable while test driving this ztr. I feel a clarification is needed for some ppl. If you ride with knees up, certainly the levers will not clear at least for me. I tend to run a ztr with my legs out and knees down, so don't feel there's an issue. Just figured I'd make a comment Again thx for the reviews ! I will try the bolt tightening on discharge to help keep up without a bungee.
Eric Polston yea when your on one all day your legs tend to get restless and wanna change position ..def not one of the more comfortable mowers to be riding if your tall ..Thanks Eric for kind words
Sure makes sense.... just wanted to comment to help others appreciate the concern. I did note your comment about cleaning grass off the hydro fans. Not super easy but I can get my fat digits in there to clean when necessary lol ...
I am looking at this one only in the 48 with the veloicty deck any comments on that set up wish they had it in the 42 inch that would be the wows in lawn mowing
hey man I have the same mower I love it my only problem is my trailer almost every time I'm pulling in and out of my trailer the deck touch the trailer what you think I can do to stop the deck from touching the trailer please let me know thanks
Three years ago i stood in front of the Liberty and Freedom and there was no comparing the two , the Freedom was only $500 more . I ask the salesman why everyone pushed the Liberty over the Freedom and he said they made more profit by sellling the Liberty !!!! The Freedom has service me well ..... a much more beefier machine !!!!
Tom Pallotta well i guess thats a good price but your breaking the biggest rule when buying a new mower ...never buy in beginning of season...not alot of flexibility...i got mine outdoor for $3950 ...but i have kohler ..i always recommend buying out of state if possible , no tax ...its a great mower bro ...but 4500$ seems high you can get a ferris or snapper with 3400 hydros for same or $500 more bucks ...but all in all not bad buddy ...👍
That's a well made mower for the price. My Kohler 20hp on my Toro is on 3rd season and I use it about 6-10 times a week, runs great. I see no problem with them whatsoever or maybe I've just been lucky. After hearing you talk about the bobcat I wish we had a dealer here.
Swimbait1 yea there both great mowers .. really apples and oranges...really two different type of mowers ...the bobcat is more like the Dixie Chopper Zee 2
I'm on west coast. Never seen a Dixie Chopper or a Ferris or a few others here. Here Walker rules by far followed by Toro then John Deere. I see occasional scag, gravely and hustler
Question regarding these price point mowers. I have a friend that has almost an acre of lawn. What would you recommend for just one piece of lawn? Hustler Raptor SD, Scag Liberty or the Bobcat CRZ? Wants at least 50" cut. Look forward to hearing from you on this.
id prob go hustler sd 54..unless you can get scag liberty z for same price ...actually i have hustler raptor sdx ..it was only made for hustler for 1 year ..but its still avaible under excels big dog alpha mpx...very close between my scag liberty z and hustler sdx ...the sdx has grown on me alot ..if all prices equal prob still go scag
Don't buy raptor sd as the deck discharge opening is way too narrow. I own a hustler raptor sd with a 54" cutting deck. The deck discharge opening clogs up too easily when I'm cutting Thick damp Bermuda grass for one of my customers.
I got the 2017 Hustler Raptor sd, Kohler 7000 pro auto choke, with the 54 in deck. I love the mower, but it smokes a little when started. It has 65 hours. Do you think that might be an issue?
nice review. You should give the scag high lift blades a try. They have a 1.25 inch lift on them. For my machine which has the 61 velocity the high lift blades fixed a slight blowout issue, the cut is outstanding even at higher speed like 7-9 mph and i can stripe better at 3 inches than before at 3.1/2. also for the chute take the spring out and it will stay up and ask kenvil they may be able to get the hose to drain the oil. last thing is it may take some ingenuity but you could try to raise the steering bars up to only the top slot and if they tight enough they will not move.
great info bro ..much appreciated ...yea i have 2 hoses from my raptor ...it comes stocked with Marbain Blades which cut pretty good ...they look pretty high lift to me , but havent even gone under there for more than a min ...yea i like to cut at 3.25 ..but rarely get to ...customers have to be smartasses ...did you cut today ???? ummm no i just drove around on ur lawn with the blades off
Supreme Services Lawn Care the blades that come on scags are medium to high lift but the high/super high loft work better because scag decks have such a large gap between the front baffle and the blades. More space means more air needs to moved to get a strong vacuum. Give them a try don't know how they work for the non velocity deck but you will notice a huge difference in cut, stripe and how far the grass gets thrown. Only downside is it takes about 5 to 10 percent more hp but totally worth it
also look at the website so you know what they look like. At first kenvil thought the standard lift blades were the high lifts. On the scag site they are called high lift.
Very well detailed review, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get one here this week the 48 not the 52 but I can't really say no to 3500 out the door. I am wondering though how well does it stripe?
was figuring the same thing as far as the front end being lite I have a 36-inch deck that's exactly the size that I wantd and I have climbed some very steep hills and didn't get off balance whatsoever I love this no mower it's a beast .....
Wow that’s awesome I wish I can be in that position nice to see one of the good guys got a good deal let u know how I made out making the purchase next week
No bro ..but funny you ask me that ..just had a comment yesterday about someone with 2 bad hydros ...hmm hope there not letting these mowers go to shit now
C&I Lawn Care believe me ...the way I buy mowers I'm very surprised I have restrained from buying a Stander the last 2 years ...As much as I want one ...they really don't make sense for my business...I do alot of bagging and fall clean ups that I really need a smaller ztr for them with a bagger ...then I have some big properties mixed in where a Stander ...for me doesn't make sense....I don't get the need for big 52 and 61 inch Stander's ...for me they should be small to get into gated yards ...if you have big properties a big ztr makes more sense to me ...I'd rather sit then stand ...and have option for bagger if need be ..
well, a 36 could get into those yards so you don't need to use the time master and the 36 holds hills well. But I can see whare your coming from, the only other thing is I find standers more efficient to get on and off but if your just cruising around a ztr is the way to go
hey supreme! I'm not really sure whare ur coming from on the kawi and choke. But for me my FX600V starts on choke but if u stop and start it 5-7 hours later I don't need choke. Not sure why, nice vid as always.
yea bro ...i love there commercial turf cyclonic engine ....i like it better than the kawi fr series ...ariens had it on there 2015 ikon ...the margins were killing them ,,so they went to the kohler 7000
Supreme Services Lawn Care No offense but, how can it be financially a sound practice to keep changing mowers ever 12 months? Unless your paying cash ( which you very well could be) your throwing away money. Which in business is a big no,no!
I've made money on every mower I've ever bought . The bobcat for instance I made $100 after using for season and 85 hours or so ..Got a discount from Bob cat for showcasing mower ..And that mower alone prob brought in 30k for the business...The hustlers have been huge profit margins for company put 100s of hours ..And sold for $300 less ...All you have to do is watch those vids ...Im here to teach you what no no s are ...Not vise versa 😉
And I will make a huge profit on this mower as well ...Follow me along this season...You will see 😉$3900 I bought for ..I will use all season and make thousands off it ..And prob sell for $3700 ...I only buy mowers when I got the wear and tear built into price ...Sit back and learn my man
Just got the 52 with 23 hp kawi love it and the cut stripes awesome very happy with it. Glad you got it thanks for review
I like the drop in the Kat walk. I have had several mowers and non of them have had a place I can put a small cooler. When I mow I mow large areas that can take several hours to mow so this was huge for me. Cold drinks and food

Thanks for taking the time to make all these reviews. Based on your vids plus dealer support, I ordered the liberty z 52 with the Kawi engine.
+Dmaxxin Awesome bro ...what engine does it have ...I would guess the 21.5 ...since the 48 has the 18 ...was it more $$ than the Kohler?? ..I can tell you one thing it will be lighter than mine ....that Kohler is huge ...but I get great fuel consumption so far really surprising

bryan vozar theyvdont make this mower with the velocity deck. U have to at least get the tiger cat
hey man I have the same mower I love it my only problem is my trailer almost every time I'm pulling in and out of my trailer the deck touch the trailer what you think I can do to stop the deck from touching the trailer please let me know thanks
do you have the deck raised up all the way ..should be at 4.5 inches or so
yes I do but still touch my trailer is to high up i think I'm gonna put low profile tires for next summer
Yea put 13 inch tires on her ...that's what I have on mine ...there great ..cheap to replace
you have 13 inch tires on your trailer right now
Yes sir ...always

Hey supreme being the Liberty next week with 23 hp Kawi 52 inch deck for roughly $4500 any suggestions

Run a little stp fuel injector cleaner in your tank ..not much a little...you should see that disappear ...let me kno how it goes

Palmer Marcus yea bro I will def try ...I'm a high lift blade guy ...I think they leave best cut ...made a big difference on my hustler for sure
also look at the website so you know what they look like. At first kenvil thought the standard lift blades were the high lifts. On the scag site they are called high lift.
wish they made a 42 that was worth buying as far as cut goes and just a good deck
yea that would be awesome
I’d put window screen over the fam vents to stop the grass
Very well detailed review, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get one here this week the 48 not the 52 but I can't really say no to 3500 out the door. I am wondering though how well does it stripe?
john spanier thank you ...stripe ..not well at all 😣😣
CRZ comes with armrests 2018.
Yea ..still not a better mower than this one ,thats for sure
From the outside looking in, I see that you were happier with the bobcat.
Nope...U must still be looking out ..lol
+Supreme Services Lawn Care Lol
It looks front end light ,but looks a great mower 👍
NIPP in garden Service yes I like it
was figuring the same thing as far as the front end being lite I have a 36-inch deck that's exactly the size that I wantd and I have climbed some very steep hills and didn't get off balance whatsoever I love this no mower it's a beast .....
We call them spring clip or r clip in 🇬🇧
Wow that’s awesome I wish I can be in that position nice to see one of the good guys got a good deal let u know how I made out making the purchase next week
Awesome...you will love it 👍
Did you have any instances of the hydros locking up for a few seconds after starting? Mine is brand new and I’ve had it happen a few times now.
No bro ..but funny you ask me that ..just had a comment yesterday about someone with 2 bad hydros ...hmm hope there not letting these mowers go to shit now
Zerk fittings on CRZ fronts
Also I think I can see through you and see a potential Quickcat purchase? :)
C&I Lawn Care lolol....if I get a Stander it will be a quickcat for sure
:) What do you think ur next purchase will be stander ztr walk behind?

Nice man I'm looking at getting one
anthony sanchez awesome bro ...yea at the price it's a great mower
hey supreme! I'm not really sure whare ur coming from on the kawi and choke. But for me my FX600V starts on choke but if u stop and start it 5-7 hours later I don't need choke. Not sure why, nice vid as always.
i dont have a fx ...totally diffrent engine young man ...;):);)
alright thanks, my first kawi so I'm a little in informed. Why isn't the fx on the ztrs?
C&I Lawn Care the FX is on ztr's many many many ...but they are very. commercial and very expensive engines so there not on these types of mowers
ahh what is on those then?
C&I Lawn Care fr series
whats wrong with the fans on the axels?
Hard to clean
Nice , OCD on that tiny scratch, I'm the same way ! Lol
Frankie Gambino yea with this mower I'm very weird
Well I'm screwed, 14 years old and already 6ft tall... lol. Looks like a nice mower... If only they offered a Briggs and Stratton...
yea bro ...i love there commercial turf cyclonic engine ....i like it better than the kawi fr series ...ariens had it on there 2015 ikon ...the margins were killing them ,,so they went to the kohler 7000
@Tony Brown I agree now that I am not a child and actually have experience with engines. Kawi and Kohler all day
What happened to the bobcat?
Go back 5 or 6 vids ..it explain everything
It's twice the money but I work it year round with.. Tow Aerater and leafplow.. Standerssuk.. For attachmentsandgrownfolks
This is way better than a bobcat
Pull that little stick out of the fan is bugging me.
