Every background music in this game was carefully chosen to remind nicely the area. The Dinorex theme reminds the heat, as well as the theme from Axl The Red reminds the jungle. The song work was simply amazing.
Many people saying X5 is a lazy cash grab because they re-used a lot of "assests" from other Megaman titles. Did any of you not remember that Keiji Inafune wanted X5 to be the last of the X series so he can move on to make Megaman Zero; but CapCom wanted to milk X series so they ignored him and made X6-8 anyway??? X5 being the last title (in Keiji's mind) therefore there are a lot of throwbacks to old titles as a way of saying "Goodbye" and wrap everything up, much like how anime usually end their show (flashbacks). The only time Keiji is to blame/hate is when he left CapCom to go and make the atrocity that is Mighty No.9
I know this comment is 4 years old, but I'm replying anyway Mighty no 9 was not a terrible game. It was mediocre at worst and people only hated it because it came out at a bad time. Revisit it without the dry bitterness from the mega Man drought, and it's not a terrible game. It's far from the best game in this genre

I played way more X5 than X2, so I'll always associate this song with this game. It has a nice rendition on Bubble Crab stage on X2 too but this one is the real banger.
Am I the only one who thought as a kid that those 4 frontal gems in Duff McWhalen's face were his eyes? I seriously didn't notice the super tiny eye near the mouth until the internet era of higher-res official art.
They might very well be eyes on the mechanical sense. On reploids, the crystals can be additional cameras, which would make sense since the placement of Duff's "real" eyes wouldn't really allow him to see in front of himself very well, because of the perfectly square shape of his head. I mean, if you pay attention to the little schematic thing at the beginning of X1, it clearly describes the gem on X's helmet as an additional camera with face-recognition software.
DJFlare84 You know, you bring up an obscure but very interesting fact about the jewel in X's forehead being a camera (then he can't take the helmet off...?) It makes me question though Wily's "mechanical" reasoning when he gave Zero his lightboobs green crystals and if Bass was snarking at the oldman during the process.
TheMexicanLynx Not all the gems are cameras. Take for instance, SearchMan. When his chest opens up you see several gems there. I have a theory that the gems in MegaMan games, especially those seen in weaponry such as the buster, can have multiple functions such as teleporting objects, generating energy or even plain manipulating matter. In SearchMan's case, the gems allowed him to generate seeking missiles and various other projectiles.

Funny thing is this song is a remix of Bubble Crab's theme from Megaman X2. I was surprised to hear it again in this game as Duff McWhalen's theme. But it works though. And a nice little Easter egg.

I heard that the reason they re used this music track is because Duff McWhalen's base is actually in the same ocean as where Bubble Crab's is albeit in an area which was not shown in X2.

Los remakes de temas antiguos estan en varios juegos, en MMX6 el mismo tema de las stages finales es un remake del MMX2
Te diré,La canción Destruye el buque de batalla La original era muy tetrica así que La reemplazaron por la canción de Bubble Crab Y también porque Duffmacwhalen estaría en MEGAMAN x2 pero no pudieron hacerlo
