That’s a hell of a premium for sapphire when it should be standard at the original price point.

Agreed. There are definitely some things that Seiko should be adding as standard at that pricepoint & lower come to that.
I guess all we can do is to continue to call them out on that. Who knows, eventually they may actually listen.

I really like this watch and agree with your conclusion and in particular that bezel and it’s grip. Great work as ever bro 👍👍

Yes, love this color and all the up grades! Just purchased this same piece, yesterday. Couldn’t be more pleased with it! I believe Seiko knocked it out of the park! Cheers, Matt😎😎✌️✌️

Very clever of Seiko to make these upgrades on their prospex line up, I'm actually a fan of that cyclops but I get your point, for pure cleanliness no cyclops is better but I do like the idea of having both day and date magnified, especially on a tool/diver.

The upgrades do definitely lift it up a level although many would argue (including me) that those upgrades should be standard on many of their watches, in fact pretty much anything over £300 should have sapphire, ceramic, milled clasp, signed crown.......

Fabulous macro shots, especially at the start that really show off how stunning it is.
Great review, as ever. Agree with you comments about the cyclops. Might even remove it.
As for price, well I got it £100 cheaper which helped 😀 😉

Thanks Matt. It's definitely a very cool watch & the upgrades that they've made certainly take it up a level. I was pretty sure that you got a good deal when you picked it up & I think that with that discount it was a great find.
Thank you again for letting me spend some time with it & for the continued support mate it's very much appreciated. 👍

Its's about time they made some new versions of the King Turtle. I would like to see an orange version. Probably buy a second hand one and swap the crystal though.

Definitley nice to see the addition of sapphire and a signed crown for sure, love the dial on this watch, as I said in the unboxing if I got one of these I would go for the black version. Love the touch of the matching pattern on the bezel and the dial too. How the heck do you do a review in 10 min, I need to learn from the master

    • @somewhereintimewatchreviews
      @somewhereintimewatchreviews  2 роки тому +1

No signed crown on this one. Its just a small detail but I think its about time Seiko started doing that especially at the price of these.
Haha not all my videos hit that magic 10 minute mark.😂

Really good looking watch. Nice dial. And that's coming from someone who isn't a massive Seiko fan. But I do like this.

I don’t know why people don’t like the magnified day-date… it helps you see them better.

Looks like Seiko is stepping up their game but for a price increase. I think and hope new movements will be included soon. Great review, like always Adrian!

They are stepping up but at a cost. Some of the upgrades should really be standard by now especially at these prices.
New movements??? They have just released the new gmt movement that everyone raves about & don't forget the 4R35/36....etc has only been around for 5 years! It's still a baby compared to how long some of their old movements were around. 😁

Hey! Where are the bezel and bezel insert on the PADI from?

  • @carlosgj1308

It’s funny you like the ceramic insert and sapphire Cristal but you don’t like to pay the extra money for those quality stuff 🤦🏻‍♂️

To be fair there's a lot of brands offering those "extras" as standard at a lower pricepoint. Seiko, in some respects, has some catching up to do.
It's not criticism for criticisms sake, it's just plain facts.
Having said that I am most definitely a fan of Seiko as a brand & like a lot of what they do, but imo it's about time that they level up with some of the competition in so far as what they offer value wise. I'm certainly not the first to mention that & I'm sure I won't be the last.
