That's ridiculous man. I found your channel from the Golf R content, but after watching the other videos, I had to subscribe. I considered getting a 2023 X3M , that huge SUV is stupid fast.
X3M is fast but still not as fast as the m2. If you are looking for better digs, try a set of Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires….the traction is amazing once the tires heat up. I tracked my 2009 E92 M3 DCT and the grip is amazing. Just don’t expect more than 12K to 15K miles out of a set. In one track day with my M3 at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, CA, I went through a full set of new Cup tires and a full set of front brake pads. The rotors took a beating. Coming off the track, my heat gun registers temperatures to 999°F. It pegged the temp gun on the front rotors. Getting back to digs, the DCT launch control was variable….defaults to 4500 rpm but adjustable anywhere from 4000 to 5000 rpm’s. The cup 2 tires gave great grip off the line. There is really no need for all wheel drive unless one lives in snow country. You already proved how you could stay with an M4 Comp X drive, especially at high speeds when the AWD was a drag on the speed of the M4. Rear wheel drive for the world!…The best way to have fun in a car.
Nice vid, I think these two are the best cars in their worlds and instead of buying m3x for 100-120 you can get low mileage used x3m or even x3m40 as a daily and New m2 for fun
hey jvette! I was wondering when you are going to tune your M2! I have a ‘22 xdrive m4 custom tuned on e55 by paul johnson. Was wondering if you could get tuned cars on the channel somehow? I love your content.
I would consider it, just not right now. I actually did a little “review” of a e50 tuned G80 x drive. I might bring him back on now that he’s custom tuned.
Another nice line up. X3M is one of my favorite "less popular" M cars. I need to line my X3M up with My G87 just to see. Both are FBO but the X3M is tuned on E30 and the G87 is just on a Race Chip. Probably 130-150hp difference and the X3M runs 10s but my 60-120 is kinda weak. I thik mine would be close.
@@JVette01 I thought I recalled you commenting that his car was much more heat soaked than yours, resulting in slower times. But I might’ve been confusing that with another one of the races. Haven’t watched that vid in a while.
That loss of traction in that roll race is why I wouldn't buy the M2 without xdrive! They say it's going to happen, and i would prefer that any day of the week so I can put the power down easily! I can only imagine the issues it would have on wet roads!
@@speeddemonRS3 I like rwd, it's a real drivers car and rotation in corners in a good thing. I have another car for inclement weather, driving an expensive sports car in snow or rain never made sense to me, just trashes the clear coat. I essentially never race from a stoplight, great way to get tickets
@@DudeThedudesky Hah - I think my favorite sounding engine is the C6 Z06. There used to be a group of older guys who drove a pack of 10 of those near my house on the weekends - always loved listening to those. Been a fan of BMWs since the days of the old BMW Films. That E39 M5 sound...
@BatteryAddicted merc and audi v8 sound way better than a bmw v8 and as a extra they are much more reliable. If there's a thing bmw can't do is make a v engine. Audi rs5 b8.5 v8 is amazing almost 9000 rpm redline so is the 4.0 twin turbo. Merc has their iconic v8 engines too

From my experience, a stock s58 doesn’t seem to get heat soaked easily. My m2 always performs good

Paranoia....I've done many rolls in my 2025 M2 it hooks up just fine. 0-60 xdrive is the champ of course
@fzr1000981 xdrive version would be a huge improvement on overall usability, traction in all weather, and the dig racing champ like it's big brother!

Should get a tune on ur m2 so u can switch it on and off depending on what you are racing for more perspective

If you have a rwd m car you always invest in tires like the cup 2 🤦. You buy a car with shit traction so you obviously cant cheap out on tires.
My tires were worn.. I have new tires now.. Either way, the AWD can build more boost and launch harder. It is what it is.
Love the color on the M2. Surprised how the M2 pulled in the two rolling races. Despite having a Tesla those BMW engine sounds are so nice.
Than you haven't heard a actual good sounding engine. Any v configuration or odd number inline and some inline 4 sound light years better.
