Thanks for posting this. I'm having a hard time finding detail on the MP56 desk set. What I think is unique about these sets compared to competitors Crestron UC-P8 and Poly CCX 600, is that it has a physical dial pad and Transfer button. The transfer feature, IHMO, on the desktop Teams phone client is not very well thought out, requiring you to press multiple soft keys just to transfer a call - (ellipsis, Transfer, Transfer now, keyboard /switch to numbers, dial the destination, press the dialed number, release)... Good Lord! Imagine a Receptionist? Hopefully, Microsoft resolves this. Pressing 'Transfer' should return you to the 'Calls' screen. Allowing you one touch transfer to your favourites, or dial direct by dial pad. Hoping that the fixed dialpad and transfer button on the MP series helps reduce the number of steps to transfer. If you have a moment, I'd love to see a video of the transfer procedure on your phone : )
@@UCStatus thank you there is one. I was just trying to figure out if the hardware was able to swap between both environments with a firmware update, or if there was some hardware locking the phone to a particular platform.

I will do a video on that AND the new sidecar which makes it even easier
Great video! If I want to customize the Home Screen on a Yealink Phone (eg. remove the "People" tab) how can I do that?
Is it possible to install microsoft teams into the t58w?
No. Only the MP range can run Teams. But the T5 phones work with SIP gateway
Can it be repurposed to use with Zoom as well ? or Teams only ?
I think there is a Zoom equivalent phone

Hardware should be the same. Just get the software and license from Yealink and reload
Does this phone work with pc usb connection
No. It’s a standalone Teams phone. The “connection” to your PC is virtual, using better together over Bluetooth
