I’ve loved your videos and am glad you’re back.
Woop woop... I'm glad your back...
Plant looks awesome 😎
Welcome back brother and as always thanks for sharing
Love the honesty. Look forward to your future videos.
Gotta keep it real.
Awesome to see you back my p650 brother! Congrats on both the new place and another baby boy. We both have 2 boys! Great tip on using plants as a way to remove CO2.
Good to be back. The boys are fun! lots of work at 2 years and 1 week old. Too bad I can't buy 200 plants to see how many it takes to make a difference. But it does look good.
So beautiful
YOUR Reef is looking legit man. Coming a long reall good , keep it up Dude
Thanks! Great to hear from you!
Welcome back and congratulations on your 2nd son :) Tank looks great.
Thank you! Just starting to get some sleep!
Looking forward to seeing what you’ve got coming next 👍
Thanks!
I agree! The plants really make the tank look great! Ive always had plants near my aquarium as well. I wonder how much it helps the co2.? Keep up the great work!
Vibrant makes your aquarium look amazing
Muito legal 😁
Cool idea to add plants around the aquarium. It dresses it up nicely. My LFS also sells exotic plants so I'm going to take a look at them next time I'm in there.
They add so much life to the display!
Glad to see your safe with your family and loved ones. Let alone your new addition to the fam. I meant to text you a while back but did t want to disturb during this whole cov19 scenario. Keep in touch and stay safe. Look forward to the new spot and videos to come. 👍
Thanks for checking in and good to hear from you. Life has been crazy in addition to this virus thing. What a world.
Puff Daddy Reef no lie there chief. It’s bananas!
i was actually thinking about putting plants. well hope it would work man.
So much industry in the landscape the plants help balance that.
👍
Congratulations on the new baby.
Thanks!
Tank looks awesome, plants too. Yea I do bare bottom in all my tanks much cleaner look.
Long time bud, hope all is well and congratulations on the new baby..
Thanks!
You know, I've never thought about carbon dioxide issues before, might have to bring some banana plants in the house! Great ideas to help aid this issue to reduce it. Tank is looking 🔥🔥!
Thanks a bunch. In a way, your living space is part of the ecosystem. Kind of cool to think about. Next video is up!
OMG ur back was about to file a missing persons report
LOL
💯💯💯💯
O.k. we are wainting...Daddy ;-) 😁💯👍
Man, another good video, your tank is awesome! thanks for sharing! He if I may ask, could you do like a 5 or 7 minutes video with your tank where the whole tank can be seen far shots and close shots, I would like to save the video kind of like a screen saver... If you can't I understand - thank you any way...Stay Safe
Plan to do this in the next week or so
Hey I’m going to purchase a 30 gallon 1 metre tank and I know the variety of fish I can keep but do you have any reccomendations for a main fish or any in general ? Thanks
Fancy clownfish pair and an shrimp goby and pistol shrimp pair.
🤜🤛👍🏿😃👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Plants look great. You can take the Home Depot tags off.. lol 😆
🤣
Hey, another great video! Quick question, between the Red Sea peninsula 650 or a similar Waterbox Aquarium, do you have a preference?
I haven't looked much into Waterbox. Next week I will post what I don't like about the RSR 650 and look into waterbox to see if they fix some of those issues.
Puff Daddy Reef ok thanks a lot, I’ll stay tuned!
New video is up. I didn’t compare to waterbox yet because I don’t know a lot about it but the new video tells you things to watch out for in the Red Sea tank
Puff Daddy Reef hey thanks for that reply! I just watched the video and it cleared things up a lot. Still a bit undecided between the red sea and waterbox but I’m getting more confident to go with the red sea thanks to your videos. Thanks again for all the amazing content
Puff Daddy Reef hey, just bought and set up the peninsula 650! Thanks for the inspiration!
Awesone tank, how much do you have invested in this hobby overall, with fish, lights, and corals, altogether??
Probably 8K over 5 years.
@@PuffDaddyReef what?? Thats it?? I thought way more than that, but I guess you can have an awesome tank by still keeping it simple! Im surprise your shark doesnt eat your smaller fish....
Tony Tran Not yet!
Looks amazing why not try mangroves at the side of protein skimmer :)
Mangroves are cool. They take a decent amount of attention and don't do a lot for nutrient export. It would be cool to have some growing out of the main display but in the sump I don't think I would see them as much so it would probably not be worth it. Should I get a mangrove tree for the main display?
Please come back
Very amazing tank...can i see your sump?
I have a couple of shots of it in the new video I uploaded today. I’ll do another next week that talks more about it.
What do you have your Kessil A360X lights set to? Color & intensity?
Steady ramp from 0 at 6:30 am to 40% Intensity 65% Color 15%UV 5%red 15%green. Hold until 5 pm and a slow ramp down until 9:50pm. Blue/white color balance only goes down to 65% the evening but starts at 30% in the morning. I run these pretty white compared to what most people prefer.
Just dose some kalkwasser hehehe
Watch for salt creep getting on the leaves
Hi, how have you found the flame angel fish? In your reef?
I have had 3 flame angel fish. only one ever bothered any coral. You will probably have best luck with a captive grown one but those are $$$
Would be awesome if i could persuade my lfs to experiment with a few angels for me. Given the experiences you have had and other I read about, fish personality plays a big role. I guess they can just get a taste one day and go mad. Bit of a risk. What coral did they annoy/eat?
Mark Beattie I can’t really remember which ones it bothered. It was never enough to kill any. I exchanged the fish for store credit.
Open your window an inch. It helps. Gotta air out the house.
Great idea! unfortunately they are building massive office buildings behind me so there is lots of dust and lots of noise! My new place is much better.
Does all that natural light cause any issues?
No. On a sunny day my PAR light meter can't even pick up the outdoor sun.
@@PuffDaddyReef thank you for your reply. I find it interesting a lot of the content out there says to avoid sunlight. Do you think the low readings are something to do with the position of tank in the building compared to where the sun is?
How did you move the tank? I just got a peninsula and I’m thinking I’ll have to call a moving company because it’s so big and heavy.
Call an aquarium service company that moves tanks. It will probably cost $1-$2 K but will be worth it if they insure for loss. I had a company lined up but they canceled because of the virus. Fortunately some awesome Reefers stepped in to help. It was a ton of work and we got it done but there was still some loss.
Will post a video all about it
If you could have another tank what would it be.
•What different fish.
•what corals
• and what part of the reef would it be based off?
I think a sea horse tank with gorgonians and sea fans would be awesome. Perhaps a mushroom garden on the bottom.
Puff Daddy Reef sounds nice.
If you use vaseline on your hinges thay will not rust
I'm going to do that now. Thanks for the tip!
@@PuffDaddyReef anytime glad I can help
What happened to your clam?
😭 story time soon.
What happened to the shark?
Shark is still doing well! More videos on him soon!
even more co2 at night
So true. Same respiration and less photosynthesis
Sorry but no way you can reduce co2 much just by adding a couple of plants. Don’t you have an air exchanger?
Yah I did point out that it would probably make no difference I would need a lot. It is crazy how there is a .3 ph difference when I am home and away, but I would need a lot of plants. They make the tank look awesome though!
I have the exact same issue. Have you considered adding a co2 scrubber?
