Thanks for posting this. Have a Wabakimi trip planned for this spring, not far from where you were, though I’m coming in from the north and base camping/day tripping from one spot. Have had this trip planned for three Summers now but postponed due to Covid. I’ll check out your vids. They get me excited. Thanks again! Cheers!
That's a great idea, Paul. I'd love to do something like that to focus more on fishing. Glad that you're finally able to go on the trip 🙂 appreciate you checking it out!
Aaaa ... yes .... I was going to guess a Tolling Retriever. Smart, well-behaved pup .... great water dog and the "portage finder" is a bonus! Loved the video and looking forward to more!
We found in Wabakimi, when you hear or see weather coming you better hunker down. Almost every day about 15:00 we had a small rain come through and gone in 1h tops. Great vlog.
Wow, that was an awesome start! Really nailing it with the fishing, and loved the colour of the sky the morning after the rain. Good job! When's Part 2 coming?! 😀
Great video. I’m glad I randomly stumbled across your channel. I’m looking forward to your future adventures and watching your channel grow. I’ve subscribed (#67) with the 🔔
just caught your channel...new subscriber... Nice to fly in a beaver but that turbo otter is probably expensive to rent.. lol... your dog is beautiful... great video..
Hey David! Call Bruce at Wabakimi Outfitters. Price depends on days because it's technically a provincial park. We are so glad we did the plane, but if you're in for long enough you can get most places.
Walleye, all the way. They are not from the pike family, oddly enough walleye are in the perch and darter family of fish. We are not sure why pickerel was adopted as a common name here in Ontario
Love the first video!! Looking forward the 2nd. 😍
Appreciate you taking the time!
here from the Keuhl kids - looking forward to catching up on this!!
Thanks Brian!

Wow, well behaved dog for a young one especially.
Thanks, Jim! He really is amazing!
What a great video! We did a similar route this year, we must have just missed you guys. Keep up the awesome videos!
That's awesome, I appreciate it. I'll definitely check out your series. We were in during early July.
Looks like a lot of fun! Rook is a natural - no way we could have taken Emma for so long on her first trip 😂🤦🏼♀️ Cant wait to see more!!
Thanks guys! And he really is - we rolled the dice but him being a toller, he definitely thrived on the portages especially.

@@brianbenson3669 thanks so much - I hope you enjoy. Great guess! He is an awesome pup that's for sure.

Great vlog.
Appreciate it! Yes, we were lucky to be close to a site, it poured on us for about 30 mins before we got there. We learned our lesson!

Really appreciate it! I loved the morning sky as well...such a cool sight. Fishing was so fun! Hopefully part 2 can be up Monday ☺️
Doggie ear muffs in the float plane 😂 Trips off to a great start! 🍻

Hey Dave, appreciate the sub and checking out the videos! We also love Rook haha.
Great video series. What did the fly-in cost?
Hi Lucho, not exactly sure about just the plane...9 days of park passes, plane, 2 nights at the lodge was all included in our cost of around $1500ish
Awesome adventure glad to sub.
Appreciate it!
Awesome vid. Heading up tommorow I have 14 to 21 days so my options are open How much was the float charter ? I'm contemplating it Thanks

Great video! Great trip!
What type of Dog?
Thank you! He’s a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever
Nice video
Hi Kai! Thanks!
Where did you find that great tarp with the bug net attached?
The bug jackets Cait is wearing? I think it's just called the original bug jacket from Amazon!
I enjoyed this very much but if you call walleye, pickeral, what do you call pickeral?
Haha great point, Ken! I was totally new to fishing walleye and had some friends from the south refer to it as pickeral. I've since change my ways 😉
Sub number 31 here, looking forward to more great videos.
Thank you so much, Cindy! Really glad you enjoy it.
Walleye or Pickeral…that’s the question!
I used both in the videos, but Bruce has me converted to Walleye 😉

Great video you two, looks awesome, we are jealous of all the fish you caught
@@Tents.and.Timber thanks! It was great, but definitely tough to get to these locations!
