Temagami 8 Day Backcountry Canoeing - Lady Evelyn River, Waterfall Chain and a SURPRISE STOP!
Grait Outdoors is Graeme, Caitlin, and Rook. Consider following us @grait.outdoors on instagram for more detailed content and information about all of our trips!
Join us on our 8 Day Canoe Trip through the Temagami Wilderness, with a bucketlist stop halfway through! Can you guess where?
We begin our journey at Mowat Landing and traverse the windswept Lady Evelyn Lake. We have to make a decision on day 1, determining which route to take to the infamous waterfall chain.
This trip took place on the traditional territory of the Anishinabewaki, Algonquin and Cree (native-land.ca/)
All footage captured on the GoPro MAX.
MAP used: Hap Wilson - Temagami
Note: We were not sponsored by our visit to our surprise location - we just loved it and want to share.

I've really enjoyed the videos with you and Caitlin. I only watch 4 backcountry channels.... total over 250 videos. It would be nice to be the 551st subscriber, but I'd like to see you treat the fish better. Using barbless hooks? I thought you treated your bass really rough. If it weren't for the fish, tourism would drop 75%. Check the data. Nice you saw Keenan & Ashley.... this is a favorable review.... your style is different but I like it.......,pfd for the dog on any rough water. And, yes, I kayaked and camped in the day. Again, good job. Just my opinions.

Thank you, Graeme and Cait, for sharing this video. We always find Temagami trips to be challenging, especially the portages. However, this route doesn't look that bad, and the campsites were nice; the weather could have been better. The issue with GoPro Max is the same issue I had on a trip. Lucky for me, I was able to return it and got an Osmo Action. No complaints so far. I know you were looking for a new camera did you get one? Cheers ✌.

Same rod, reel, line and rod too. Same technique . I took two friends , who barely knew which end of a rod to hold , on different trips to the same lake and we got about 40 smallmouth total each trip with biggest about 4 lbs . I loved this video! BUT… 1st: do not make fun of “old man noises” you’ll be one soon enough and those noises just become part of daily life 😆 2nd: the mepps are GRAIT lures but, as a guy whose owned a bait & tackle shop and been a licensed fishing guide, if I could only use one lure for the rest of my life, it would absolutely be the Rapala F-7 back and silver. You can use it as a top water bait, a stick/jerk bait or even deep troll it with a weight off a 3-way swivel. Just something to file away in your mental tackle box 🧐🥸 That was an amazing smallie! It was so big it was my PB too 🤣
