As someone who actually plays rhythm games, this ending was awesome and I'm really happy it wasn't just a handful of notes. I can see why some found it frustrating though lmao
god DAMN so much of the music of this update fucks. Like the song in the Earthen portion of the Arena is so good, and this track slaps too!!! Have we figured out what triggers Ending E yet?
Imo the best ending. If the beast caused the initial scourge, and proceeded to extinct the remaining planet by waking up from the attempts to seal him? Oh yeah best believe he's going down with everyone because wtf is his problem. Everyone's doomed either way. At least you can get some justice for an entire world's worth of dead this way
@@jolestoli Seriously ranged is so unbalanced it trivializes combat lmao, I killed the castle boss just by shooting him with the staff and all he did was transform into rats for the whole 2nd phase.
it couldve been balanced if the ranged weapons had some kind of resource management because crossbow clears the whole low to mid lvl and staff mid to high level.
This ending is honestly confusing. Ending A is normal, Ending B is the evil alternative, Ending CD is a silly message but still normal, but this?! What is the meaning of this ending? Like, not trying to make it phylosophical, but why do you suddenly see birds from the Great One's POV, only to be imprisoned in this empty landscape, unable to go back?
You switched places with the Great One. Now you are the dreamer, but your mind is so small that you can't create anything more then just a white field in attempt to create any land and abominations in attempt to create any creature, compare to the Great One, who's dream created the world that you see in the game. At least that's how I think it is Maybe it's just the way to tell that you can't save anyone. In attempt to make a sacrifice for the sake of others you give your life, but then, anything wanishes, and you are trapped in that land until you escape it the only way you can - die.
@@Dolgit147 That's somehow even worse than ending B tbh. Nobody gets a happy ending. At least in ending B the demon you free gets a happy ending I guess?
Well seeing how the game says "there's nowhere to go back to" when you try to use a crystal shard or spirit warp we can deduce that the awakening of the great one had severe apocalyptic consequences, either burning everything to ashes or deatomizing everything
I believe we 'become the dreamer'. Since, apparently, the existence of this game's world is only real so long as the dreamer sleeps, when it wakes up everything is, presumably, erased. And whatever 'reality' is, comes next. If I had to guess, the plan is flawed, though. And the only thing we dream is a vast, endless plain, devoid of anything except imperfect attempts at replicating life. (Also, the area, music name, and the name of the enemies is your character's name.)
Is there any cutscenes or anything after the Anti zone at the end or is that the "end" of the game? Game bugged out on me and I can't get all of the spells and can't be bothered bother to go through again on a new game so was just wondering
i tried going to the "sun" with icarian flight and barrier, jumping as high as i can and placing a barrier in my feet and managed to do like 6 barriers before the barrier just broke and i fell to my death, i guess the only way to know for sure if there's something there is turning off the fog and roaming the sky and terrain
Just beat Drakengard 1 yesterday and today I remembered seeing this video, I was wondering if it's an intended reference or not but I guess the lettered endings gives it away
it follows a strict pattern. down left up and then down right up. you cant press it too fast or it wont register. near the beginning you can see me practicing the end. also when it has that shining thing near the screen edge thats good time to hit

@@Panda_Lesser I found some posts about it only working while you have a controller plugged in and that worked for me, it wasn't detecting any input before that though

@@HyperfixationWizard Yes but at least in the main ending you aren’t tortured for eternity by a demon, or stuck forever on a white plain. At least you get to cease existing alongside the people you met.

In five days the soundtracks should be available for purchase on Steam I believe, otherwise they're easy to find on UA-cam.

Drakengard reference? How do you go about getting this ending or any of the extra endings for that matter?
this ending requires you to almost 100% the game. i think it’s all spells and vhs.
my thoughts exactly, the drakengard reference caught me so off guard
Drakengard mentioned by a Umineko fan, the dream
More video games should end with the player being forced to do a sword-based rhythm game against a giant flying catfish on the moon.

Nothing happens. It appears the Imperfect [You]'s are not sapient.

I think they’d be better if they both hit harder and had less hp, and also were a little less cheesable from range
