Glad UA-cam recommended this video; a (modern) fully fledged, Open World game in the "ps1" style isn't something I've ever seen before. It looks like it's going to take quite some time (last update in January) but I'm excited to see the results, feels a lot like Morrowind especially with the super speed zooming around the map.
It's definitely got that Morrowind vibe that not a lot of games can capture. Development does seem quite slow but what's there already is pretty damn good.
Bro I just finished this video, exited full screen expecting to see at least 100k views alongside mine just to realize this video and channel are severely underrated. You deserve so much more and im lookin forward to future videos.
The algorithm has blessed me with your content as a recommendation in my sidebar. UA-cam has been throwing me lots of recommendations with extremely low viewcounts, but this was the first banger. Awesome work! Please keep making content and honing your craft.
Never heard of this game, but your video got me really hooked on it. I love the retro style, the idea of the world design and the combination of action and rpg elements. Hope it gets more recognition and success. Also great video. Really appreciate your format, especially for the fact that you present hidden gems that very have heard of, like this, Mortal Sin or the most sleeping hit of all Lunacid. Good job!
Thank you! I honestly have the most fun reviewing oddball games and there's no shortage of those in early access on Steam. So there's plenty of content to choose from.
@@Jonny-Bueno If you like weird games that no one has ever heard of then I suggest you these titles: - Skate Story: you are a skater in a surreal underworld full of demons and souls, from which you must escape. - Alaloth: champions of the four kingdoms - Kingdom of Atham: Crown of the Champions - Shadows of Doubt
@Jonnybueno grinding and XP has its place but it's one of the most abused, overused and misused mechanics in video games. It so often annihilates the balance curve or needlessly prolongs it. I call it the "over rpg-ification of video games"
I think XP for defeating enemies makes sense in some games but it really needs to be balanced both correctly and evenly in terms of reward with other gameplay styles. Otherwise it creates a situation where the game systems directly incentivize metagaming. That's true for any reward system in a game emphasizing player choice really. One of the most infamous examples of that in recent(ish) years were the two newer Deus Ex games, which rewarded the player about twice as much XP upon reaching certain checkpoints after sneaking past enemies as it did for killing them... but then you could just go backwards through the levels and kill the enemies to get the XP for that as well. Terrible game design. But yeah XP for exploration and quest completion is an easy way to completely avoid this problem, whilst also making the player feel rewarded for their efforts.
I pretty much agree with everything that you said. I absolutely love the art style of this game, though. It's so easy to get engrossed into this world just through looking at it. The lore and the way the world works are both fascinating to me, as well. Love this game!
Subbed, I really like your videos & the games that you decide to cover. Many of them are titles that I’ve not heard of. Keep it up & I feel that you’ll have many subscribers in the future!
I do think that come the launch from Early Access there will be a large update that overhauls the leveling system. There's too little leveling for how much content there is. I mean when I finally journeyed to the endless realms I was basically maxed out. Also I hope the other stats have dialogue choices/actions.
Well looks pretty damn good to me, even the damn PS3 is almost older than me so you can't exactly say it's nostalgia that makes this game good. The game has a pretty good art direction and writing, and decent gameplay (especially for an early access title), it's kinda like past's spirit with today's polish. But hey I would have called this game ugly 2 years ago so let's see

So this is basically Morrowind but with more drugs
yeah pretty much
POV: You're a khajiit drug mule who swallowed half a kilo of moon sugar in a condom, and it just tore open inside of you.
Such high quality for such a small channel, keep up the good work mate, I'm sure you'll grow exponentially!
Thank you! Appreciate the kind words.
"There's no experience gained through defeating enemies."
Oh so they have some idea of good game design. How rare these days. that alone sold me.
As someone who's not typically a fan of grinding I couldn't agree more.

Thank you!! Plosives drive me nuts as well which is exactly why I got a pop filter lol.
Great video
Deserves the presidential medal of honour
Thank you!

Absolutely hoping for an overhaul to leveling before full release.
Feels like kings field
Jonny, why are you so bueno? Asking for a friend.
Cause I try my best to be a good boy
Ahh finnaly a game that I can launch on my laptop
Laptop gamers rise up
Dude you can summon skeletons now
Sort of takes advantage of Minecraft or Morrowind engine with a totally different thematic backdrop like it
This game looks cool
Unfortunately, the developer seems to be very slow in updates, especially compared to its competitors Lunacid and Northern Journey
Agreed, the updates with actual content in them seem to take quite a while to release.
morrowind not deranged ? im not sure about that
In before man has 250k, or 255.
bro this game was not that good
this game is a nothing burger.
Shame it looks like a potato.
Yeah the graphics take some getting used to
It looks like crap and I have no nostalgia for ps1 graphics.
Fair enough
