Suggestion: use the butter wrappers to grease your cake pan.

Shelia k. Harris the answer to your question is, no...however, there is a lot of butter in the cake recipe. Using the butter wrappers saves the baker from having to use Crisco or the like. May as well use the residual butter on the wrapper instead of just throwing them in the trash.

A little whipped cream and you have strawberry short cake. In the morning, put a little butter on it and warm it .. breakfast!!!!!

I made a half-of-pound cake tonight using some of your tips (creaming until the sugar went silent, heavier on the vanilla extract, and making sure to add enough Crisco and flour to my baking dish), and made my best cake to date! It was fluffy, light, and had a great flavor; I also added lemon extract. Thanks again! So tasty!

I felt compelled to come back to big up this recipe. I made it once and it was delicious. After fixing my execution by being sure to properly cream the butter and sugar, hell yea. This recipe makes a delicious cake and it so EASY TO MAKE. I didn’t need to come back to the video since typed the ingredients and instructions in my notes on my phone. That’s it. I can make this cake in my sleep and have definitely got it under my belt. It’s so good.

@@skyyjay6538 any grocery store... on the baking aisle... it's Softsilk cake flour if I'm not mistaken... there are different brands it's in a box.. its JUST cake flour... not boxed cake... most older people use it... and I do also... cause my grandma can tell if it's Duncan Hines, regular flour, or Betty Crocker...💁
Try Swan cake flour. It’s awesome. I like it better than the Silk cake flour.

Wonderfully delicious pound cake! I substituted margarine for butter (my hubby is lactose intolerant). This will be my go to pound recipe. I do advise you to be sure your Bundt pan is large enough. Mine wasn’t big enough and I had cake batter spilling in my oven. The cake still turned out absolutely amazing!
