    The reactor watch is valued at $700 to $1000 usd, they are a high end watch.

      I disagree its a fashion brand with cheaper (miyota or SII) japanese quartz movements manufactured in qungzaou. Like an invicta or technomarine, or something is a comparable brand. They sell well and kids like them cuz they are big and flashy but seiko is higher end watch wise. I bet u could get like $150-300 for it tho. Its a good brand to sell to high school and college kids. But they arent water proof. Thats just marketing like invicta. They will fog up even if u have them in the bathroom outside if u take a shower. But, yeah still a cool looking watch! It should sell well! Cheers!

    Reactor watches are supposedly the most durable in the world. They have a 10 year battery and a tripple o-ring seal good for waterproof up to some ridiculous depth like 1000 m or somthing. Cost is about 400.00 US.

    some folks can't wear a windup or automatic watch cause of the electricity in thear bodys like my self and my dad .have tried and most stop or go backwards on us. so the quartz watches were a godsend to us.

    • @rustknuckleirongut8107
      @rustknuckleirongut8107 3 роки тому +1

      Wind up or automatic watches cant run backwards due to how the spring and related mechanisms works in any watch of quality. You can only wind the spring in one direction and it can only move the mechanism in one direction. A more reasonable explanation is that you and your dad have some electrical equipment in your surroundings that magnetizes the main spring and that can make an automatic watch wildly inaccurate or stop it until the spring is demagnetized. This problem is why back in the day you had watches like the Rolex Milgauss that were extra shielded against magnetic fields.

    Every time you went like "oh, yep, another cheap novelty watch".... I liked them best. I guess value truly is in the wallet of the beholder :D
    I am very glad that the ones I liked were not expensive, because that makes it possible for me to buy something like that. I found the first novelty one very "harry potter-esque". I love those little open clock pointers.... (dont know the english word for that) and I liked how it felt old. But then again, I don't really like carrying around really expensive things, because then if I lose it, I'm devastated, while when they're not so expensive, I can replace what I've lost.

    Enjoyed seeing all the watches, I worked at a jewelry too. For 18 years I sold both Seiko and Tissot, and replace more watch batteries than I can count. The automatic watches are nice but we had a few older gentleman that would bring them in because they would stop running part way thru the day. If they were sedentary the oscillating weight wouldn't wind the mainspring enough to run the watch all day. Try telling an older man you need to move around more. Lol

    I love your videos, but i have to add (sorry) that seiko "5" watches or the "5's series of automatics" are seikos affordable line of automatic watches. New they range from $75-300 online (usd) but there are rare vintage models (sportsman 5, 5 actus series) that sell for more on ebay/chrono 24. the more higher end contemporary automatics seiko offers (non divers) are the presage line, and primer line of Made In Japan watches. The JDM models sell well too. The tissot's are very nice i have a few with the powermatic (in house) and eta caliber (with silicon hairspring). I think the guy payed too much on them. U can buy them on amazon for like $300 (usd). But u can sell them for like 400 probably on ebay theres always buyers for the eta-2824 based (PRX) automatics. Again i love your videos, keep up the great work!
