I have found a few working manual wind Bulova's and Timex's at the flea market from time to time for a couple of bucks that have been worth it... even when missing the band, I can always find a decent band that fits from one of the broken ones for a dollar... flea markets are fun, never know what you will find, and if you're lucky, the vendor doesn't know the value of what he has...

See from time to time in your garage a huge Dutch wallklok beside your carlift. They are called ‘Groninger Staartklok’ and most of them originate from about 1850/1900. I’ve got two of them, whats the story of yours? It must have come to Canada with Dutch immigrants in the 1950’s i would think.

I have a small woman's Timex I got back in 1977 as an 8th grade graduation gift from an old family friend. One of my sons overwound it when they were little. I'm thinking about getting it fixed. A watch repair shop told me they could fix it for about $25 or so, which is more than it's worth but I just loved this little watch because I have really small wrists plus it is sentimental.

It was a Caravelle with regular numbers, not roman numerals, it had a round face. The seconds hand was red and it had a leather strap. I loved that watch! Every so often I go on Ebay and try to find it. I have found what I thought was it but it was so beat up and the crystal was scratched.
You can bet your viewer, who knows what to look for thanks to you, carefully went through their junk drawer before sending it to you. To me, trying to get some profit out of that pile is more trouble than it's worth. But if it gives you pleasure ...
