Irene is so cool. She knows her shit but is so modest and down to earth about it. No gimmicks or whatever.
Love that you watch James Hoffman. I was watching that episode and thinking it would be cool if he was able to join you or vice versa.
Would be cool
Director for compass box is a heck of a pull, shows the reach of the tribe - spice tree punches way above its price point
Wait. Isn’t Brianna “HR”. In the last two videos she’s punched an employee, didn’t know that ppl had off for Memorial Day, or how to answer a PTO question. Seems about right. 😂
for Brianna, HR stands for Hectic and Rambunctious
I’m sure that HR has already investigated herself and determined that she did nothing wrong. 😂
Its Briana. Its been in multiple episodes but everyone ads a n and they never address it but its Briana M.
My cousin and I are coming back to visit on June 8th. Was there in March, loved the area.
Words don't describe the FIRE that this is and brings 💪 this is hype hype dude thank you
Great question, great video.
I love Irene!!!!
James Hoffman - bloody brilliant videos.
Currently, I've been sipping on Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage. (Barrell #481, #514)
My local spot had a barrel pick Sazerac Rye that was fantastic.
I also enjoy Whistlepig 10yr, but for the price it's only a special occasion bottle.
This was such a great episode!
Hell yeah Del Bac! They're the best!
How often do yall abstain an do dry week? I ask this honestly cuz I'm jus getting into whiskey an would like to understand some ground rules so to speak. And what benefits come with it?
I thought my "empty wallet leather" got left out during the live stream. Glad to see most of it made the cut ...
FIRE. Thats what it tastes like. very simple.
Maybe if it's a tire fire. Otherwise, you definitely don't want a great whiskey to just taste like or be fire.
Again, princess Bri is so cute with her hair up.
I have an important question 🙋🏻♂️ !! Is hibiki 30 actually 900 bucks a shot ??
Would you be willing to share that list??? Both of the notes, and the list of ranked bottles?
One thing to consider regarding flavour perception, people of different cultural backgrounds might make different flavour associations. That's something I as a German stumble accross every once in a while when reading certain tasting notes that refer, for example, certain sweets we don't have or that taste different (which is honestly less and less of an issue).
Or for example, one of my former roommates was born and raised in India, and when we did a whisky tasting and I described the noses as "spices", he was very confused what I even meant by that. Even trying to make it more concrete with "christmas spices" wasn't helping and of course that's an inherently biased term as well.
Nowadays I'd say "ginger and cinnamon", because thats as far as I know what we usually mean in the USA or in Germany when we talk about a "spice note".
Just my 2 cents :)
Same with coffee and colognes. A "spiced note" could mean anything between black pepper and saffron. Barely means anything.
@@NothingXemnas never thought about it that way but you are right! 🤔
Here in italy we dont need helix to sleep...just a great whiskey to have a good dream
So, in reference to the Islay, what are the differences between "Salty/Saline" & "Maritime"? Are we differentiating between the actual salt and the rest of the seaside experience? What does maritime even smell/taste like? Is it like a gentle driftwood, or is it more viscerally realistic, like rotting seaweed and dead fish?
I see maritime as coastal. So more of a seaweed'y light saltiness.
Zeno Davidoff said that the best cigar in the world is the one that you are enjoying right now did he mean that I’m not sure but I think it’s true for whiskey that is and cigars
What is the story of the little turtle on the Magnificent Beasts labels?
I'd like to hear the story of why Cerberus only has two heads when the mythos says three.
Guys I have na idea for ya. Try rating some niche perfume. I have a feeling you will be great at this
Hey crowded Barrel, I placed an order a month ago and still waiting to get it? I sent you folks a message about it and haven't heard back.
try the screw ball peanut butter whiskey
Ole Smoky Distillery out of Gatlinburg Tennessee makes my favorite peanut butter whiskey. It's a dessert whiskey for sure.
Junkyard mook? Is that you?
No Campbelltown chart?
Or Islands
I would be curious to see a collab with James Hoffmann would be like, the dynamic of Brianna and James could prove interesting..
“Came back home?”
Where's the LORNA DOONE?!
Also, whoever said that Bourbon tastes like divorce needs to build some new memories and I know just the place.
A great glass of JDSiBBP Rye with a half cap of water made me tell everyone to stfu for sec, as I closed my eyes and said...MmMm❤
this is actually a easy thing to answer its the same answer i used for when i worked in cigars. flavor is subjective and irrelevant to this conversation. two things matter quality of manufacture and what it does. a whiskey is great when that first sip makes you stop and go "woah what was that(in a good way)" and you have to focus on that second sip. mind you there are very good ones that will never do this but we are talking of great not good
my dawgs!
personally, its easier to describe what a great glass of whiskey DOESN't taste like. Shouldn't have any chemical notes, but more importantly it should not taste of green apple or pear. I know some people love those flavor profiles, but for me those belong in wine and not whiskey, I like dark rich and deep, or light biscuity/mellow.
That's definitely subjective. There are many great whiskies with chemical or medicinal notes. Laphroaig and George Dickel are 2 just off the top of my head. As for apple and pear notes, there's a ton of great single malts and Irish whiskies that give apple and pear notes that plenty of people enjoy and even love.
@@louisvillebmxr IMHO, medicinal and chemical are two very different things. Maybe a better descriptor is that whiskey should not taste or smell of paint thinner. Also I have no issue with irish whiskeys or single malts, I just don't like apple or pear in my whiskies. I love the fruits themselves, but in whiskey it doesn't fit my desired flavor profile. Never had Laphroaig before so I guess I'll check that out next.
Tastes like the Neuralyzer from Men in Black to forget all my mistakes 🙂
And what I like today may not be what I like tomorrow.
Am I the only one who's confused by the vanilla tasting note seen everywhere? I don't really see it in neither bourbon nor scotch. Perhaps I can find some sweetness similar to vanilla extract, but I wouldn't describe it as vanilla (as in vanilla bean). Is vanilla different in the US? Or are my senses just jibbed?
Vanilla is literally the most common tasting note that comes from the oak and/or charred barrels. Most people would likely agree there's very rarely any bourbon or even whiskey in general that doesn't get even a slight vanilla note from the barrels. I'd say your palate could be off for whatever reason.
The Cult of Ardbeg letting me down. They should have been big in these clouds.
In fine print behind the "Empty Wallet" flavor....is that......
Brianna's feet??!!!
WTH!!
Alright Hoffman x Whiskey Tribe Collab WHEN. :|
What happened to Daniel?
He had to focus on the Vault and the non-profit school, so they had to separate the channels, but he's back doing interesting story telling on the vault channel.

Lol chainsaw died . Was like nope.. not gonna cut butter
Spoiler:
It tastes like shit that you cannot seem to stop drinking.
At leaast i think so.
LOLWUT!? This just sounds like alcoholism. Are you only drinking Kentucky Gentleman?
@@louisvillebmxr Nope, if anything then Laphroaig 10/select, Ardmore, Connemara or talisker etc. (some jack as well)
Also, was borderline alcoholic. Not anymore, at least not anytime soon.
It's whiskey. It tastes like shit, duh.
Tastes like bourbon
Taste like you almost made a good video.
Really confusing video
I think this video is embarrassing. You come off not having any clue what a good whiskey is, and that's pathetic. If you ask someone what they like about a steak, or coca cola, it's really easy. If you don't like whiskey enough to know why you like it, that's unfortunate
This comment is embarrassing. You come off as not having a heart or a brain. That's unfortunate.
What in the goddamn fuck are you even saying? Are you drunk? Did you forget to take your medication? Are you currently enduring a traumatic crisis? Or are you just so ignorant and jaded that all you can do is project your arrogant ego?
