  • Hey guys! This is the 4th edition of my Dollar Tree desk makeover series. To create this look, I used 6 popsicle sticks and 3 wooden coffee stir sticks, For the hardware, I used scraps from the coffee stir sticks and 7 jump rings. I used wood glue throughout the tutorial but I do use a tad bit of super glue on the hardware to adhere the jumprings to the wood.
This was the easiest of all of these so far since I only added some drawers and the hutch. I knocked it out yesterday afternoon and still had time to edit the video before bedtime.
I reference digging in my trash (don't judge me!) for pieces discarded in this video:

I love your makeovers! I have done a few of these myself and learned to never throw any of the parts out. They are useful for other projects. I have also had some success using stain on these pieces if I use a wood conditioner first. As you say, the wood is pretty cheap, but if you really want to try stain, that's what I recommend. I am loving your channel!

I've bought some of the dollar tree furniture pieces for both my dollhouse and my daughter's. They're great. I've often thought of customizing them too.
    This is a spectacular job!

I voted popsicle sticks on your survey. But anything you do is fine with me. I'll be watching whatever you do. Thanks for the great ideas.

I love this series. You are so creative! But, please, can you stop shaking your things back and forth while you are talking? It it kind of nauseating. 😵
